As you walk towards the entrance of Annil'sul, you notice a small box upon a simple wooden table. Beside the box is a number of leaflets, all with a singular, massive exclamation marks upon them. Looking upon the opposite side of the paper, there are a few short sentences written.

!

Please direct your attention to the left.

Naturally you turn to your left, and see a tree that stands out quite distinctly from the others.

Having taken note of the tree, you read the next sentence.

In no less than twenty words, please explain why/why not this tree is aesthetically pleasing in your subjective view.

You take note of the ample space beneath the final sentence, along with the pencils beside the leaflets. Someone has obviously gone to some effort in order to gather opinions upon this tree.

"Pleasing: It has Lucion's name on it."

Vellulaei'thill takes up a pencil and carefully writes down her answer after a good hour of consideration. She smiles as she writes the last word and steps back. With a firm nod she turns and walks away.

'It is nor a high elf, nor engineered by high elven hands. Thus it is not pleasing to the eyes for it has no trace of purity beneath it's bark.'

One may later find a black splatter of some lustrous, jet liquid over the woman's reply. Under it is scrawled in a jagged, sophisticated manner; "Not less than twenty words" with a lack of punctuation.

*Amras Ancalime ponders this, before stating blandly, and pretentiously.*

"It is aesthetically pleasing because it suits the atmosphere of the surrounding area. The pure white bark, the white town, it all just creates a certain feeling as you approach the town."

"It's not just a tree...It's a birch tree! A birch tree!!!"

Someone leaves a short reply on a tattered page full of scribbles. "Smells like druidy nonsense."

A reply is submitted, written in elegant blue ink.
"It could be more. Though the flowers around it are pleasing enough I suppose."

Glancing to-and-from the tree did account for a number of minutes of pause, as he pondered what to put on the paper. In no less than twenty words, hm? He wondered what other people had written, as he stared at the tree for the last time before beginning to write. He wondered how many words he would end up writing, glancing to the large amount of space he had been given to scribe his thoughts on.

"What I particularly like about the tree is that it is birch, of course, seeing as that is currently my favorite 'type' of tree. It's different than most trees you see, which are quite fat at the top to compensate for the lack of what's below. This tree, however, is more linear: the leaves and branches growing more upwards than outwards, creating an arrow-like shape of the tree as a whole. And finally, it has Lucion's name on it, which ruins the entire thing. All in all, I suppose the tree is adequate. Not bold enough to abnormally stand out in a crowd of other trees, yet just enough to gather attention."

With this, he submits his expert critics' review.

Elorna covers her mouth to suppress a laugh as the leaflet points to the tree. After a moment, she scribbles her own response.

"It is a happy, loving tree with a beautiful personality."

Janos scribbles down a few sentences upon the parchment.

"I find the tree aesthetically pleasing because it is the spawn of Lucion's latent Druidic powers. Such brings back fond memories of 'the evening when Lucion caught Druidism'."
