Going to sound pessimistic here, but just want to point this out.

 

If, on the off chance, the raid rules don't work out. A more timely set of alterations, as in, less than a three month response time would be ideal this time around.

Anyone who tries to raid will simply be told they can't raid for a short period and be informed about this thread. If they decide that they want to still raid then they will be temp banned.

Any player can give a link to this thread. There really isn't any excuse for raiders to get banned in this three day span unless they manage to get themselves banned.

Having a cost for going into an offensive war should be a given, since as is right now the only people who are ever paying for wars are the defenders.

 

And I hope the rules support wars of a decent type, not the silly stuff people try to pull off, like making up events to give reason to their wars.

Well, when you make posts like that you can't blame them.

 

New rules have been in the works for a while, but a block until they're done was probably triggered by yesterday's little debacle rather than some sort of anti-Strelt agenda.

Does it really matter if you can't raid for three days... it's not like they accomplished anything to begin with already. Raiding and not raiding has the same outcome, a whole lot of nothing. 

 

I just hope that these new rules favor making raids more rare again, instead of once every three hours or some bollocks like that.

I tell a lie, raiding results in bitching/circle jerking more often than not now that I think about it, though that doesn't really fall into the realms of an accomplishment...
