If elected Grand King of Urguan, Fimlin Grandaxe promises the following:

Holds:

•A system of holds in which any elder clan with enough Dwarves may make a hold under the Grand Kingdom if they so chose.

•((The clan making the hold must have enough active players to hold the plot, otherwise you lose the land via nexus regions.))

•Said holds can only be made by that of an Elder clan, meaning that said clan is direct descendant of Urguan, the first Dwarf.

•Any commoner clans must live in either their father clan's hold or find residence within the mighty Capitol of Kal'Agnar.

•Said holds may not create their own military, however they can appoint their own lesser Marshal to command the Legionaires within the hold.

•In times of war Holds are expected to raise the militia of non-legion Dwarves.

•No direct tax will be on the holds, however this may be changed at anytime by the Thanes Council with a 3/5 vote.

•The Grand King and his council may not infringe upon these rights within the holds:

-The right to moderate taxes within the hold.

-The right to build a hold with whatever materials the administrators of the hold see fit.

-The right to banish a person, clan or guild from the hold.

-The right to make laws that do not infringe upon the laws in the articles.

-No taxation without representation.

-The right to free trade with other nations, cities or guilds.

-The right to administer mines, lumber mills and various areas of labour within the hold.

Taxes and Economy:

•Due to complaints of taxes and seeing various secret hideouts in order to evade taxes, the tax would be lowered on housing.

•The amount of poor housing would be increased in order to make sure that those who are unable to fulfill taxes of larger quantity will not go about living on the streets or in the mines.

•A law restricting the disallowing of Free Trade, anything breaking this law is strictly illegal.

•House inspections would be made every stone week, anyone to have secret tunnels, or unauthorized rooms will be charged double the tax that stone week, tunnels collapsed and rooms deconstructed.

•A team of dwarves would be handpicked by the Grand King to run the tavern actively, and make sure that the ale storage is properly kept.

War and Diplomancy Policy:

•A law that any war that does not fit into the criteria of keeping Yemaker's Balance is strictly disallowed, whether or not entering a war does not keep Yemaker's Balance is determined by the Dwarven Clergy.

I, Fimlin Grandaxe, do solemnly swear that if voted Grand King of Urguan, that I shall not war on any nations that have been our allies, and swear to not interfere on any other nation's rebellion, less it cause another hard world war.

Caridin mutters to himself as he sits leaned over the bar counter reading the manifesto.

"Not all his ideas are bad, but never the less his policies on holds might sow the seeds for the destruction of Urguans Kingdom. With the threat of Oren ever increasing, is it really wise to vote for such an individual? "

Upon downing his drink he merely shrugs, continuing to say

"Bah! Only the Gods know, and they do so love to play their games."

"Holds are dishonorable ta Urguan's legacy, it be very hard ta keep de lads up n' work'n activeleh, n' enough lads ta even poulate de hold, t'is why Kal'Ardoth failed, we 'ad ta make ah new citeh, n' citehs rely on mostleh a pocketful of main builders w'o run it all, unloike in Kal'Agnar w'ere we 'ad all of de possible builders we could git.'

((With the nexus regioning on holds, there is nothing you can do besides meet with them, or war on them, which is a terrible idea, but with the plots it is very hard to get enough active players to hold a good sized region, and a small one wouldn't work out well, but if someone manages to succeed in all this, they damn well deserve it, that's why nexus regions is helpful in this case (the only case))

-Thoak Goldhand, Grand Merchant of the Urguan Kingdom wonders where these complaints of taxes, and 'hideouts' are coming from, as he has never received such complaints.-

-Thoak Goldhand, Grand Merchant of the Kingdom of Urguan shrugs. If they have complaints about the economy and taxes, then they should speak to the Grand Merchant who is in charge of it. Don't worry. Thoak Goldhand doesn't bite.-

"Not many people like holds, but just the freedom of being able to make one pleases those who desire it, when in reality holds require so much preparation, organization, activity, leadership, and a good location. There are no suitable areas to make a very popular dwarven hold, the Capitol is always what the new lads first see. If we work hard to improve Kal'Agnar, people would not even think of holds, and most experienced dwarves know better."

"Also it's inspiration to get off yah arses and get ta work!"

Bael too likes holds. He also thinks if you want to improve Kal'Agnar, its going to take a lot of work because the city itself is a hole... not to mention the people in it.
