Discovered by Sequoia Druid Lillith in the Fiandria Father Grove, the document reads as follows on the Druids' Grove Notice Board:

Callax's Will
Scribed 2nd of The Grand Harvest, 1473

I have lived a long and eventful life and I thank the Aspects for allowing my service to them to have lasted this long. There is no greater blessing I could have received than serving nature alongside all of my Druidic brethren over the past one hundred thirty years. I write this document in knowing that my time on this realm is coming to an end, and there are a few requests and acknowledgements I have to make in the sure case of my death to come.

First, I wish my staff, the Zephyr Staff, which bears the Snow Druid Circle's Stone, to go to a student of mine who hold the most pride in: Dahlia Druid Dalari. She and I have walked a long and close path together and I could only rest peacefully if my staff rested in no other hands than her own.

My beloved, long-time companion Charlie the Cockatoo is to be cared for by Elk Druid Danic. In the time I have been allowed to know Danic, I have come to greatly respect and trust him, and I know he and Charlie will get along as two peas in a pod. You will find Charlie perched at the birch desk at the top of Vernon's Point.

Also to Elk Druid Danic, I give Aren'iril, the Staff of Song. Few have known the Song Druid as long as you, Danic. Take good care of Aren'iril, but take better care of Charlie!

For many years, I have been tasked with preserving the life of the Last Sapling of the Mother Tree of Laurelin. This sapling has lived ages since Aegis and I pass the task of preserving its life on to Gi'Garun. When I retired, I did so nly because I knew I could rely on the Pine Druid to uphold the ancient culture of Druidism. Do protect the sapling well, my brother, and seek out an Elf named Kalen Forseth immediately, explaining to him this situation.

Druidic Artifact #7; The Useless Block of Coal. I had come across this large chunk of coal many years ago on my travels and noticed it's lack of usefulness. I wish for Cub Druid Gildun to take custody of this artifact. I hope that you might find this block as useless as I once did, my brother.

To Sequoia Druid Lillith:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I once owned a shoe,
And now you do, too!

I entered this Order just as you were leaving, and now you have returned just as I am leaving. I wish I had something a bit more sentimental to give you, but I suppose the shoes I wore some hundred and more years ago ought to do. These boots are those which I wore as a Dedicant. Thank you for the influence you have provided, and blessed be.

My beloved Virella, I give to you the responsibility of carrying on the stories of Hazelmere the mountain goat and becoming a skilled healer. I know that you will excel in all your aspirations. Do remember me, dear, in some way.

~*~

Acknowledgements:

Apple Druid Leyun, my dear, it has been wondrous watching you ascend from Dedicant to Archdruid, and I must say that I have enjoyed serving alongside no other Archdruid greater than I have with you. Take the lessons in Druidic Healing that I have provided to you and pass them on. I would leave you with more, but I know that I cannot trust the thingummywhats which possess your hair with any more than we have already shared in the past.

To Sunshine Druid Verden, my first successful student and the greatest Druid I ever saw rise under my, and many others', tutelage, I give acknowledge to as my most favored and enjoyed student.

To Wilting Druid Giovanni, Shroom Druid Milo and Oak Druid Thudrin: out of all the Druids I've known over the past one hundred thirty years, you three are the closest brethren I've had. Together, we set a precedent of serving nature which has greatly impacted the Order.

The Song Druid, Wolf Druid Ouity, Fox Druid Valas, Ice Druid Jameson, and many other great elders of the past; I thank the lot of you for the guidance you provided to me. It is your guidance which primed me for my service to nature, and it is your guidance and wisdom I value greatly.

Resia, Naeri Evaglno, Meta Solaray, Lee Scorsby, Marty, Salamandra, and Kalen Forseth: you are all individuals who did not walk the path of Druidism, but were close in my heart nonetheless. I consider you all to have been close friends of mine at least at some point in my life and I hope that you go forward in all your beliefs which are right in nature's prosperity.

To all of those Druids I did not manage to will to or acknowledge, know that you all made an impacting difference in the life of this old buffer. The Druidic Order and the life of serving Nature made up the purpose of my life. I have no greater delight than having served Nature beside the lot of you. Do not feel at a loss, do not pity me, feel no sorrow; I will do as so many great Druids have done before and as I hope all of you will one day do. I will embrace death just as I have embraced life. I always have.

Aegor bows his head in respect upon hearing rumors of the famous druids death, "Might he rest in peace..." He mumbles, letting a prayer slide, before clipping a mask to his face.

Salamandra merely stares at the notice, his eye first straying to his name before he continues to read over the entire document. His eyes linger there, on the notice afterward, though unmoving. He stands there in silence.

He is standing on a dark plane, with blackness extending as far as the eye can see. Mist lingers at his feet, and he stares only directly forward, quiet as the grave. In the distance a dark silhouette approaches, stepping closer. A light briefly shines down to reveal the face of Callax (his appearance at the time of his death). The walking corpse disappears from the side of his vision, and vanishes. Another stands behind him, hiding in the place the living cannot see. How many stand behind him were too numerous to count now. He can only continue to stare forward.

"You will be missed." he comments to the paper, stepping away to wander off someplace.

Naeri lowers her head, quietly letting out some sobs as she drops the paper, more now then ever, she was set on hermiting her days away. This only sealed the deal. Upon her arrival back at Avalon, Naeri would quickly pack her things and move off into the distance, to not be heard from or seen from for quite some time except for those who she truly trusted. This was her resolve to finally be freed from her duties, in semi-solitude.

Upon her wall in her hut, she raises another stone slab that reads, "Callax."

Syrila reads the note, the spectral being of blue would slowly fade away as she realized that the only reason she came back was gone, now waiting for her in the life hereafter. Her form slowly fading into nothingness. Into the oblivion, she would extend her hand out to the note crumpled on the ground. She would exist no longer.

Zarovia, the poltergiest had read the note, and to her astonishment, felt relieved. She had found Aelys, and now.. Now Callax was dead. Callax was DEAD! The Poltergiest felt a rift within, as if empty, her form fading in the shadow of the night as she was blown away by the feeling, the reasons keeping her there now gone as she too, existed no longer.

Daern lowered her head as she took a deep breath, hoping that news would never reach her of Callax's Demise. The Dryad slowly seemed to curl up as she finished reading the note, her eyes watering as she grabbed her staff. The Dragonflies of the Fiandria grove would come to her as she rose, marching with the swarm behind her as she made it to her tree. She quickly took a chestnut from a small box, and replaced the large gem on her necklace. Looking towards the tree as she whispered to it, "its time to go, we need to leave now, or there wont be a chance to change this world as callax wanted." and as she moved away from the area that once had her tree, she sprouted a tree somewhat like her Dryad tree. The amberseed in hand as she walked off into oblivion, to begin her job as a true Druid, to move across the reaches of the realm, to restore order within the areas that need it.

Ytahu quickly moves to the note, having packed his things as he frowned, "Death 'akes 'he goo' uns, ya? Ytahu neva undastoo' why 'his world was so cold. Maybe where Ytahu is goin' 'e can find ansas, ya?" He silently trudged onweards, into oblivion, to do what he does best.

Brother Sunshine nods to the sky and passing of leaves, standing upon the autumn hills for quite some time. "You were the best of us, and everything this order has we have because of you. I will miss you, but I can placate myself with the whispers I hear of you in the wind, the buzzing of bees, and the songs of the forest. May Cerridwen hold you highest, my brother, and I will see you again one day."

Pebble sits on her bed, head in her hands. She's still there for hours, presumably thinking. It's unwise to attempt at consoling her, let alone touch her in such a state of mental turmoil.

After the incident is over, she never speaks of what emotions she felt again. Any mention of Callax draws an averted gaze, and a new subject for conversation.

Upon reading the will, the lip of Gi'Garun began to quiver. Several leaves drifted from his head, tears welled in his eyes as memories of the Druid of the Solstice pushed aside all other thoughts.

"You were the wisest of us all, and I could not have asked for a greater mentor through my service to the order. May your influence never be forgotten, and may you forever rest within Cerridwen's loving embrace, and within the safety of Cernunnos' hold. Farewell, brother..."

He places a single hand gently upon the will, whispering a final, "Ta ra Callax..." under his breath, before turning and walking up to Vernon's Point to meditate, spreading the memories of his fallen friend through the birds and the bees, the toads and the trees...

Gildun looks down to the document with dismay as his mind is flooded with memories of Callax. He notices what Callax gave him and arches a brow. "Nae matter 'ow strange an item, ah shall care for it in yer honor. Aspects guide ye forever." He looks down at his feet sadly and turns off into the forest.
