Training Nature's Gifts

A notice hangs in the grove of the druidic order, a copy is also sent to many of the younger druids.

 

Followers of the Aspects, we are at war. A war between nature and the forces that corrupt it. Yet many of the new generation and even some of the older lack the tools to combat these forces. Powers of nature and healing are given as gifts from the Aspects, yes, but they must also be cultivated and trained. I offer myself, now, to teach as many druids as possible how to fully harness these gifts.

 

First, you must strengthen your bond with nature and your ability to guide its growth for a singular purpose. Those with more experience in this area will be taught to heal blighted or corrupted land. The Father Tree has been tainted twice by the cult of Ikuras, yet the number of druids able to heal such taint is far too small. Like blight healing, nature's healing has been all but lost to us. I myself do not know how it is done, and ask that any with such gifts step forward to teach new healers, for they will certainly be needed.

 

At present, teaching each druid individually is impractical. It is my goal to set a permanent time that students and teachers will gather to train, and those who need additional help or show particular promise may be taken aside privately afterward. Due to the diversity of the members of the Order, this will require some coordination to arrange.

 

For now, I ask that any druid interested in furthering their gifts fill out the form below. When an official time for lessons has been arranged it will be announced to all interested.

So yes, my character will be teaching various kinds of druidic magic, hopefully in larger class sessions for the basic stuff and more 1 on 1 teaching when necessary. This will involve a lot of OOC teaching as well, so you'll know how to RP your magic, how to use it fairly in combat, and how to pace yourself when advancing in strength and skill. To clarify, any attuned druid is able to self-teach communion and control without a great deal of RP teaching, however having an RP or OOC mentor will help you a great deal. Blight Healing and Nature's Healing can only be learned with a teacher. And as I said, I will let everyone know what time lessons will be held when we can figure out everyone's schedules and timezones!

How long have you been attuned? Early Asulon, however many irl years that is,  was silenced from her attunement for about a year before reconnecting again in the first couple weeks of Athera. All-in-all, almost 2 years of attunement I'd say, maybe a hair longer.

At what level of skill do you believe yourself to be in Communion with Nature and Control of Nature? Tiers weren't a thing when I started, but working through all Lillith was taught through Asulon and the century of meditating and practice along the way::

-Tier 4 Communion, nearly to Tier 5 in another decade or so probably

-Tier 4 Control of Nature

-Tier 2 Blight Healing (there were no teachers for this for her to learn from, she's had to learn what little she knows on her own)

-Tier 4-5 Nature's Healing.  This one is harder to determine accurately, as the tier system wasn't around when Lillith was taught an ABUNDANCE of healing, it's basically all she learned on Asulon and she meditated and practiced NONSTOP to improve and master it.  She's done healing by the description of tier 5 2-3 times, but has also herself been extremely spent afterwards. Just the other day she went comatose for 1 irl day for giving too much of herself.  She's not perfect but she's damn good, it's her primary focus in her druidism.

-Nature's Healing yes and she already is, she's given a handful of 1 on 1 healing lessons already by Callax's urging.

-Blight Healing not so much, just the very basics, Lillith has much to learn here.

-Mundane healing she could teach quite a bit, she has dabbled in alchemy and bandages for well over a century now.
