A feast of crows.

In the year 1483, A year after the coronation of Aleksander Carrion, Roy Carrion privately meets with various lords of Oren, talking to them regarding current affairs, after his devastating defeat against the Kingdom of Renatus and Aesterwald.

A lord from Oren stated. “Times are tough m’lord crow, some say the electorates whisper words into Alek’s ear and Alek follows, our kingdom is laughed upon and spat upon by those from Renatus and Aesterwald. When you lead, we felt there was hope. Hope that our rightful King would serve his duty to our Kingdom and fulfill his legacy, much like his father before him.”

Roy nodded, sitting sighing saying “A crow does not kill a crow, I will deliver my ultimatum before Alek and at least attempt to bring us from these dark days. My wings are not clipped, and I fly freely. In the beginning, there was two. And now there is one.”

Roy marched upon the gates of Petrus, stating to the guards stationed there to open the gates, as they did chants of “Salvation is here!” “Our Lord Roy has returned!”

But those chants were all in vain, Roy marched upon the keep to see some familiar faces.

Entering the palace Roy learns of the rebellion which had just taken place moments ago.

Stating…

“Here I, Roy of House Carrion. First of his name, do hereby present my claim upon the Kingdom of Oren. I urge all men loyal to the Kingdom to pledge fealty.

I offer my cousin Alek, in exchange the position of Lord Steward, to govern over my lands, and until a son of mine is born, my heir.”

Such proclamation was met with some scold. Many of the towns inhabitants shouting words such as “Usurper” and “Traitor”

I full well know the consquences of raising arms against the King of Oren, and know the friendships and ties it may severe.

I am merely doing this for a better Oren, one in which it’s leader is not tied down by the chains of its vassals and others, but rather a leader who flies freely.

I, Roy Carrion urge all true loyalists to the Kingdom of Oren pledge fealty to the one true king.

Then maybe one day we’ll see our Kingdom restored to how it once was, a force to be

reckoned with.

News of this recent trouble swirls around the Invictus mercenaries in the hall. Adoros in his private room with maps and books laid out across the table says, "Ah heard they stirred quite a bit of trouble. They be doing this at the wrong time when rebels threaten their entire house, not just one portion."

Franz leans back in his chair as he glances over the news brought from Oren. "Quite the development.." he mutters before throwing the piece of paper onto a slowly growing pile of work on his desk. He then leans forward once more going back to his work.

"Let us not forget of all the treachery used in order for him to take power. All the dishonorable and worthless men who broke vows and oaths forged to their lieges under the very witness of the Creator himself. They shall burn in the nether as a testament to their lying ways.

Let us not forget all of the bloodshed that has taken place to obtain power. The battles fought and the people killed under a pretense of a falsehood of freedom from a kind and just King. If freedom was all they sought, then as the Great Emperor Tobias passed on, a treaty would have been signed among the three lords of the three human realms to stop the bloodshed. Alas, one was not signed by the Konig nor the Storm Lord. They shall burn in the nether as a testament to their violent and atrocious ways.

Let us not forget the men and women who died in vain to obtain power. The civilians and soldiers alike who believed their cause just and righteous. Those who believed they fought for a freedom and those fought in order to ensure theirs under the Carrions. Led by those who are corrupt and lust for power in their small greedy minds. They shall burn in the nether as a testament to their murderous ways.

Let us not forget the true hero of this resolution. It was nay Godfrey, nay the Storm Lord, I dare not say his name for it embodies sin in the very words that come off my tongue, nor the Konig. For it was Aleksander Carrion, who is the true hero. A King given a broken kingdom and surrounded by those who murdered, created violence, and lied in order to fuel their hunger for power. He was a kind and loving King who loved his people more than any monarch that has since ruled. He hath proven it by forfeiting his birthright rule to greedy men in order to save and protect his people from further harm that would have been done had he not given in. He shall live a long and great life and ascend to the seventh sky as a testament to true humanhood."

Edmund chuckles "Funny how people praise one man for this, but condemned another for doing the exact same thing nearly a century ago."

"Cousin Roy... a traitor..." Frederick would grumble, moving off to find his brother Aelfraed, to inform him of the news as well as inquire on his stance in all this.
