Rassidic 470 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Another taped or nailed-in post would be seen across a few wooden notice boards , scattered across Athera. It seems to be the second issue of the Atheran Eye! _=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_= Atheran Eye - Issue Two (Dub)You know , something really irks me about the Highlanders (or the Northerners , for all your Anthosians like myself). I can't seem to put my mind at rest about what said thing is , though. Maybe it's the way they dress? Maybe it's the way they act? Or maybe it's because they're profoundly brash and horribly religiously based? Who knows. Although , one thing is known for sure about the Highlanders ; they're mostly violent and horrible people. Unlike the Issue One (which , I hope most of you understand was the truth , the whole truth , and nothing but the truth) which was an interview with Art Camoryn , this issue will simply be a debate with the fellow people of Athera. 'A peaceful debate' you might say , 'how is that even possible?' you might continue to say. Well , no. No doubt someone is going to be up-in-arms about what I'm writing onto parchment , but we can't really stop that. Instead , I'm going to be as unbiased as possible , and go out of my way to offend everyone. First off , the Raevirs. They belong inside the Highlander 'sect'. But what are Raevirs? From my own humble understanding , Raevirs are a large and numerous culture that originated in Anthos with the birth of House Carrion and Kralta (which was a town that I deeply loved for it's horrible ****-piles and dying cattle). The culture has since expanded since Anthos into a cest-pit of religious extremists , boastful drunkards and - of course - blood-shedding psychopaths. A few examples would include Corbett VanQueef , Roy Carryon and Oslo Thunder (see how I made their names into jokes? Original , right?). These three are known for their amazing skill in battle and -dashing- mediocre good looks , along with having a seemingly magical ability to call for allies. In short , don't mess with Raevirs if you're an elf , orc , dwarf - well , generally don't mess with them. Now , what about the infamous (and rather controversial) Aesterwaldians? They fit nicely within the Highlander setting. They're rude , boastful and unskilled in intelligent labor (for example , knowing how to read). But , unlike they're Raevir counter-parts , they're not unique in any way besides the fact that their accent is also bat-**** insane to understand. Seriously , you could understand a bull smoking cactus green better than some people from Aesterwald. They're also uncannily similar to the mali'aheral , in the sense that they're horribly offensive to those who are 'inferior' to their way of life (EG ; the Akovians). Another thing in contrast to the Raevirs , is that the Aesterwaldians are **** at combat. Really , they can't fight. They'd be killed by a moth , if one tried to attack them. Lastly , and oddly one of the most over-looked Highlander cultures , is that of the Adunians. They wear kilts , worship false gods and deities , and their social system is near non-existent. Why am I talking about them , you ask? Because they're the least hostile Highlander culture (mostly because they don't exist). They may have been drove out of existence by the Raevirs and the Oren Empire back in Anthos , but damn , you could not find a prouder people if you tried. One or two still exist , and half-elves could be considered Adunians if you wanted them to. In fact , some of my best moments were in Anthos near the Adunian capital (the one in the Dwarf lands , respectively) , even though I was put on trial for insulting someone's beard. That was fun , now that I recall. Now , I've placed a poll at the bottom of this issue. Answer it if you wish to , and in the next issue , I will reveal the results. _=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_=__=_=_=_=_= Below the newsletter , sits a poll with small sheets for writing things on. There's no tick boxes or anything. Just a poll , with paper. Not as bored when I made this one , maybe it'll be better? Write feedback , if ya' want.

Catarrh 720 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Lothaire stops to read the second issue. He then looks over to the first issue. Looking between the two issues and raising a brow, he asks aloud, "How is this news? Both issues so far have been this lady complaining about people she doesn't like. Is this is some kind of opinion column or something?" He then shrugs, and goes about his business.

Graf 135 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Alice Fáóláin is given the newspaper, she stares blankly at it and then gives it back to the dark elf woman, as she cannot read because she is a stupid northerner(!) "Oh well" she thinks to herself "at least I'm not a dark elf." She then goes back to her business.
Anderssn 1115 Share Posted January 14, 2015 "I wouldn't have problem with the Akovians and Raevir if I could see the bandits, mainly Vladovs hung. And that if they would calm down with the church propaganda. I used to be friends with some of them?(Mostly oocly, but I think some people still play their old characters.)" "The Akovians are much like the Carrions used to. Only difference is that the Carrions wanted me and my warriors to /help/ them and offered money, and they did help and had a fine relationship. While these Raevir, or Akovians, hunt us because most of the church. Well at least that goes for the Order of Saint Amyas, but perhaps the Akovians only hate us because we're a vassal to Aesterwald?" "About the church it's the Order of Saint Amyas who is worse. Using it as an excuse to kill and crucify. But they aren't exactly Akovians are they? They're just aiding them in war." "So why do we fight eachother? Why do the Akovians care what Aesterwald is doing? They were never a threat to you, the Vladovs angered Aesterwald with their raiding in the North. Hell I'd love to fight on the side of the Raevir, only if we fought the undead and not ourselves." - Daren Bonehill

Ask your superiors why they fight and side with foreign hordes and the Undead to purge their fellow humans. Anyone who openly backs the genocidal, tyrannical, and unholy practices of Arn Rovin should be a subject of ire. Even his own princes flee his court and condemn his practices, so naturally the common man assume that anyone who backs Aesterwald and Arn are people in line with his inflammatory policies." pens the High Pontiff in response.
