dandan1350 479 Share Posted January 14, 2015 "Show not mercy to the dark, for they are all but blind in the hope of redemption. A chosen path of lingering shadow they walk." With that he descended from his perch with a heavy thud. The glimmering warrior of silver rose from his crouched stance and strode forth across the bountiful forests of the Wood Elf town, no intention of stealth or attempt of being discreet. In his hand a heavy stave was held, shrouded by wisps and essences of silver light that floated idly around the staffs structure, threatening to consume it in its numbers. Barely relying on it, the staff itself swinging idly by his side within his vice like grip, it's energies began to crackle and flare out in a violent temper as the essence soon formed into a shape of fire, wild, roaring and unkempt, the only thing keeping it at bay being the thought of the cleric that wielded it. "Do what you must brother. Redemption." The voice echoed in his mind as his path was finally halted, his forced calm gaze falling upon the two clerics who stood before him. The only betrayal of his true emotion was the flicker of the contained flame as he called out to them. "I seek the cleric known as, Xierna." A witty retort was sent back by the paladin known as, Jakir. Quickly dismissing it as the second cleric turned her attention to the man who had summoned her. "Hello?" The paladin turned to finally lay eyes on Daniel and an immediate understanding came over him as he guessed the purpose without much doubt. Before Daniel could even speak out his words the paladin had stepped aside as allowed Xierna to step forwards to him. "Your patron beacons you. Your time has come." She too caught on as, Daniel outstretched his hand, his fingers slothfully unraveling as he pointed to her. "Step forth and take your punishment in your last act of purity or forever be hunted by his disciples." The female cleric stepped forward without complaint, almost all were silent and accepting besides an ignorant bystander as they called out their confusion towards the event playing out. Daniel glanced to his hand with the armored gauntlet that once covered it began to fade into a pure film of light. His hand becoming elusive wisps of light that kept its former model. Hosper the oldest of the clerics stepped up to protest to his actions, simply putting forth his worry of doing so publicly before he was quickly dismissed. With the final interruption, Daniel lurched forward and drove his hand into the depths of her chest, past the flesh and bone and reaching into the very soul of her being. His hand sank fruther in till only the armour was left. The light gripping round the connection that bonds the two as his lips ever moving preached out the final words. "As his disciple, his warrior. I take from you the sacred gift. For your crimes of impurity you are stripped of the Aenguls blessing and left in his shadow." He lurched back his arm violently and with it ripped out the very object of clerical power. "You are discharged and thrown from his services, bow your head in shame and feel his wrath." The silver essence of light forming in his hand began to weave back together as it replaced with his silver plated gauntlet now. The connection of Xierna crushed within his heavy grip as it burst into tiny fragments of pure light and dispersed into the air. The pale clerics frame shuddered and escaped from its frozen trance of shock, falling to her knees as her eyes shot open. The energy drained and the very limit of life escaping her as her body was left empty of the power she was so accustomed of running through her. Soon then a booming thunder erupted, a pure flash of light washing over and illuminating the gathered masses at an almost blinding light before quickly vanishing and washing away. The man staggered back from her as he looked up to the paladin. "She will need rest." "And know this paladin, she is not the last. I come for you all." Flicking up his hood and taking to Hospers side like a stray dog the pair strolled off, leaving the late-cleric and paladin to their actions. It had begun. ((Small simple summary of the disconnection of a recent cleric.)) - Part 2 - "I am his spear, his shield, his torch, his disciple. I am his Shepard." source credit: http://ami-fly.deviantart.com/art/I-am-Vengeance-290570547 The time finally dawned and a hand outstretched towards the kneeling man of faith, a gentle and caressing voice trailing across the room. “His time has come, do what you must.” At once Daniel pushed himself from his knee and took off. He knew not where he was to go, or why. He simply followed the instructions given out to him. ~+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+~ A summons soon found another of his followers before Daniel could move on and take the initiative, a summonings from the holy order they once stood beside in the defence of the descendants. Hosper took to the call on the belief of a rogue cleric having been sought out and detained by the many worshippers of Xan, little did he know they had done his job for him. The paladin brought Hosper before the followers, crowded around the tavern as they stood guard over Jakir, holding him from escape so he many penance to his ‘crimes’. The aged dark elf lowered down his hood, a slight hint of sadness washing over the timed old cleric as he finally realised it was time for his own intervention. ~+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+~ Daniel trekked his way through the forests of Athera, skittering across the lush landscape nimbly for a man clad in armour. Slowing his progress little but making the difference noticeable as he stumbled across the scene and let a twitch hit his lips. Lips beginning to sink into a frown as he fumbled to pull down his hood once he made sure his arrival was unnoticed. The scene was already into action and the actors on stage, little he could do to halt it but what mattered to him was that it was done. There was no point diving in and pouncing on Jakir to achieve first blood among them. He slipped himself against the bark of a sturdy oak and took his rest as he watched the scene unfold with interest. ~+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+~ The argument crossed between clerics, though his words fell upon deaf ears as Jakir pleaded his innocence in the crossfire of words. Hosper had made his mind and he knew what had to be done. Lifting a hand idly towards Jakir he called for his silence and beckoned him on to perform the ritual elsewhere from the eyes of others. They took a small path before finally arriving as he turned towards Jakir and began to speak his piece. Raising his arm slothfully and extending out his fingers as he repeated the actions Daniel did the day before. Closing his eyes as his hand began to be consumed in the holy light of gold, an envolping cloud replacing up to his forearm. His words, raised but no spite or anger clear in them as he chanted his condemnation. "You have strayed from the path of light and walk amoung those who dwell in darkness. You have sinned against Tahariae and fallen from grace. May you find your way from the darkness you dwell within.” His armed lurched forwards and the wave of paralysis struck the cleric as Hosper dove into the very depths of Jakirs mind and body, searching for the essence he sought to keep. The scene played out and the ritual was done as it was soon followed by is signature boon of thunder and flash of blinding light before nothing. The body and mind of the cleric left broken and twisted from the disconnection as Hosper moved and took his leave. ~+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+~ “I warned you we were coming, paladin. And you are not the last.” Daniel turned from his perch and made his way off with a small bounce to his step in his happiness. A hum of a tune escaping the trapped smile of his lips as he disappeared off to his master once more. GodEmperorFlam 3447 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Katari sighs, sitting in his study. He had been told by Xirena that this was her will before it had happened, an experienced healer gone astray. "Well... At least she had the sense to do this before it was forced upon her." He taps his chin idly, pondering upon the current state of the Order. "Dammit Mandru... Left me a mess to clean up." He rises to his feet, donning his white cloak before beginning his journey. The Clerics shall rise again. ((:^) I was put in charge of the Clerical Order. Expect a thread on them coming up soon, if you're interested in becoming a cleric, we'll be streamlining the learning process as well as making it much easier to become one.)) dandan1350 479 Author Share Posted January 14, 2015 Daniel took a knee before the figure having only just returned, his hand still flaring with pain from the recent disconnection. He glanced his gaze up to the gleaming, white statue of the stag as a whisper run through the air. A name, a target. Daniel grinned as he heard it as a menacing gaze fell upon him, he lifted himself from his knee and bowed his head. "It shall be done, my lord." The hunt continued and no cleric would be left standing upon 'its' return. ((You're welcomed to stay tuned folks as this thread might have the odd update on it of other disconnections happening or even failed attempts!)) Rig 17581 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Mithras the former cleric simply nods, "About fecking time, couldn't you have started this years ago?" He sighs, "Better late than never! The Acerbus whispers quietly to themself, seeming bemused by the notion of impure clerics, before walking off.
MamaBearJade 2090 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Juliet frowns as she hears of disconnection. She takes a soft breath and stays hidden in the shadows. With her own life in shambles, her hands fluttered to her chest. "I am a true follower of the Creator, I will not let them scare me." she murmurs. "Creator give me strength. WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Artimec watched the entire display from nearby, his arms folded behind his back in passive observance as his expression gave away nothing as usual. Upon it's finish he walked off, shaking his head grimly. "Another one bites the dust."
Jake the Dog 290 Share Posted January 15, 2015 Jakir, knew the day would come, he just did not expect himself to be there when it did. With a heavy heart he knew he could not do anything to stop it, for he knew what she did is worthy of disconnection. Although Jakir, carries on despite the pain he felt at seeing another cleric fall, and a family member take this path. The only question on his mind is now is who will be next. Gone 869 Share Posted January 15, 2015 “I wanted this.” Xirena chants to herself over and over, as if somehow the words will dismiss the void that has taken over her. It feels as if everything is gone, as if she’s merely an empty shell shuffling about going through the motions of surviving. The first day she packs up her things, banished from Leyulin she moves to the shelter she had made merely days before. She doesn't even eat until she is told to. “I asked for this.” The second day she finds someone hanging from the rafters of a house, the body half decomposed. Out of habit she checks for a pulse before jumping up to cut them down. She drags it home carefully and stores it in the basement. Curiously looking and prodding at the things nature has already revealed. It becomes sort of a learning experiment for her yet the entire time all she can think about is how jealous she is that this man got to end his suffering yet she cannot… “I want to die.” She’s no purpose in life now. It had always been being a cleric before but everything had changed. The path she had once thought an honor to tread became rough and weary. Yet now all she can think of is how worthless she is without it. The only reason she hasn't ended it is Aislinn. He won’t let her. Once more she looks down to the spot just above her heart where the initials A and C, intertwined, are carved into her skin. He is determined to get her through this. Xirena casts aside her name, returning to the one she had been born with. Cheza. Perhaps today she’ll find her new purpose.

Lyuin 65 Share Posted January 18, 2015 A wry smile forms on Lyuin's lips, the smile quivers slightly as it becomes afflicted by anxiety and bemusement. Soon the smile becomes a frown, his teal eyes showing suspicion as he narrows them. "Oh Jakir Axem, what have we done?" For a brief moment, silence ensues as he loses himself in thought, the bitter wind rippling through his blond locks, sending the corners of his blue overcoat upwards. Then with little more than a blink and a loss of vacancy, he continues down the cobblestone road.
The Templar 195 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Lenia Avern sips her tea in the seven skies, watching as the Itharel carry out their holy crusade, "Oh don't feel bad Mr. Snuggles, Tahariae willed it. Maybe we'll see Jakir soon?" She would giggle, "Oh do be nice or no carrots for dessert!" She would bend over and pick up the stuffed rabbit toy, drinking the last of her delicious afterlife chai tea. "C'mon! Let's go find Willie!" Skipping to, she begins searching the Seven Skies for the deceased cleric and mentor.
AndrewTech 3331 Share Posted January 19, 2015 It has been many years since Grandmaster Mandru VonSchlichten had attempted to reform the clerical order. No one knows the whereabouts of the old man; many consider him dead. He was, after all, 75 years of age the last time that anyone had heard from him. Others believe that he simply gave up on the clerics, unable to control them nor disconnect the unrighteousness ones with the disappearance of most of the Itharel. Yet a few others believe that he had gone forth to combat a darkness elsewhere, more terrible than anything in Athera, as well as to seek the secret of holy, eternal life in the process... Nevertheless, he is still nowhere to be found... Though it may be implied that wherever he is, be it the seven skies or elsewhere, the Ex-Grandmaster would approve of the idea of the cleansing of the Order, though he most likely would be utterly saddened to hear of his old apprintace's rougeness and Jakir's misfortune... ...but who would he be to argue with Tahariae?
