So, I know I've been a kha for... A week, and I don't really know if I have earned the right to make a post such as this, but I hope to eventually be an active member in the community. I've heard around from talking to toher Kha that they're concerned about our activity and how we as a race are falling (somewhat) behind in terms of activity and culture and RP (I'm not shaming anyone, don't get me wrong I love what RP we do :P). So, I want to hear from other Kha to hear what your concerns are and what you think we should do to remedy those issues.

 

Again, sorry if I am overstepping my boundries as a new Kha.

I think you should put the application back on again. Also, a better home would have helped. The Ordium is not really. . .player friendly. It resembles an event structure more than a city to me. I mean, a little island in the sky would have been nice.

Personally, I'm going to be trying to be a lot more active in the priesthood aspect of the kharajyr because I can take advantage of my more lenient schedule this semester.

That being said, I'm going to try and make the priests a bit more relevant in kharajyr society. At the moment, they appear to be relevant oocly but not so much rply as it appears to be at the same level as any other status/job ranking of the kharajyr. I am going to attempt to make the priesthood lessons more of an active roleplaying experience instead of just a weekly meeting so that we all feel encouraged to play during the week. I was even thinking about letting non-priests have a part in these activities as well to improve our community.

What does everyone think about that, I'm trying to throw a few ideas around before the first lesson (which is in a few days).

We need a topic on Ordium so people informed we did get a new city, and what are the wisps. New guardians to add to our religion, how will this impact our leader system? So many questions not answered and slided under a rug like it was a normal day.

 

About the island, it needs to be adjusted to be player friendly and kha atmosphere. At the moment it feels like a floating high elves city than a jungle-like religious city. The size can be adjusted with dirt and stone to expand the width but this might result the island looking funny depending how we do it.

Another option is to add jungle below the floating islands so we can hunt and have cool city. Although doubt that will happen unless GMs or skygods will allow to add jungle island below the floating islands.

Jungle below the city would add hunting rp and maybe we could allow some other race rpers to settle below although this is doubtful due to region permissions I bet since we don't want random people grief entering the city (yes I said it).

I'm kind of in agreement with previous comments.

The city is literally an event area, which isn't very beneficial for people to hang around and rp

There aren't many open areas to chill or even a cafe or tavern to rp in

I'd be very happy if we just expanded and turned Ordium into a floating island with some open ground area where extra buildings can be fitted into the structure

We need enemies because, let's face it, we're never going to give ourselves an incentive to just log in unless we're always preparing in case of attack.

Quotas should be put on jobs such as mining, fishing, farming, smithing, etc. and if these aren't met, then that person will lose their permissions in the area, possibly even worse rp punishment, such as losing their home.

(times can be worked out if you're busy IRL. That stuff comes first, babehs)

Working for incentive in the community will bring more activity and thus more rp.

More rp can be seen as a positive in the kha playerbase and may bring in more kha players

 

To enact this, more land should be set in place first

Once the land is built there needs to be places of work to begin occupations

Micro rp-hubs (taverns, inns, etc.) should be built

We should re-implement the kha racism that was originally in place to entice more to resent the kharajyr rp'ly

The kha will become an active, efficient, and united race

 

Other changes lore wise could be put in, so long as they don't interfere with the efficiency of guide stated above

As Addled stated, the priests need to be more than just another occupation, because the kharajyr are a very religious society

Similar to the Priests, there should also be high incentive to join in the military

Ideas/propaganda should be put in rp'ly to entice young kha to join the priesthood or the military

otherwise they're just nerds

 

This is my effecient guide, taken and adapted from other guilds and nations during their prime.
