  • Minecraft name(s): Treshure

  • Skype ID: jason.trackter

  • Time zone: Pacific

  • Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report: N/A

  • Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?: I have been a Trial GM for 1 month, and a member of the Application Team.

  •
  • What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present): I've played RuneScape and WoW.

  • What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?: I have a Human by the name of Farmer Nob.

  • What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain: I have been an extensive member of all 4 races in the past, even creating a magic for one of them (Beardmancy). I enjoy doing antagonist events, not entirely server sponsored by things that menace players and give them an arc to play throughout.  I did a series of events as an Iblees Cultist in the Fringe, which had a successful storyline that ended well, without any help other than the ET: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/119401-the-precursors-of-iblees/

  • What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?:

1. Player engagement. All players in an event need to be interested and doing something within the event. It needs to intrigue them.

2. Continuity. I am a strong believer in story arcs are players go through a series of events that mean something. I think it is best when that wonder is put in a player after a particularly good event: "What happens next?".

3. Conflict. Be it two characters fighting that the players must resolve, the players fixing an issue, the players defeating an enemy, the players aiding an Event Ally, anything of the sort. Conflict creates a good event and avoids willy nilly things that hold no value to them.

  • When was the last time you saw a event?: I believe it was an Undead event at Haelun’or, though I showed up late.

  •
  • What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?: I am very knowledgeable on all the races, and have a good knack for storytelling and writing. In the past, I have organized events that directly engage the players and entertain them. I think my previous events as a cultist stand testimony to that.

  • Why do you want to be part of the ET?: I love creating events. It is hard to do events without having the abilities of an ET, and every single one of my events that I did in the past required the help of an ET. I want to give players an engaging experience, and I believe becoming an ET is the best way.

  • Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.

    • 1) For 1-3 person

Witch’s Guise

A small group of players, 1-3, encounter a strong wizard on the road. He asks for their help, saying he is in great peril. Leading them through a dark forest, they must fend off multiple creatures as they traverse to a secret home. In there, he hands them their rewards, asking them to stay for dinner. Leading them into another room, it reveals to be a massive cauldron brewing! The door locks behind them, and the bold noble wizard before them transforms into an ugly, deformed witch as the spell wears off. She declares them to be her new ingrediants for her potions. This is when the players notice (pointed out to them) a hatch that leads to the sewers/underground. They must run through a dangerous course to escape the Witch's clutch. All the traps are non-lethal.

If you escape: You see a noble knight with his broadsword in the witch, dying in his strong grip. He looks at you, proclaiming you a hero. "I thought you were certain to be dead! I saw you come off from the distance, these pesky witches grab anyone they could!" After he explains who he is, his face deadpans. Grabbing a journal from the fallen witch, he flicks open the pages. "There are more of them."

If you fall in a trap: You wake up a in dusty cavern, hearing the chant of dozens of slimy witches. You realize you are on a spit-roast hovering over a fire! They all lick their lips anticipatingly, hearing murmers: "He ain't got magical properties, but he sure seems nasty!" Shuffles of feet can be heard away from the cave, the witches shrieking and sneering. "Gurda led them here! Schitnel, stamp the fire!" The fire gets stamped out beneath you, and you can feel your bindings slipping. The witches quickly run out of the cave, leaving behind a journal. A few minutes after the witches leave, you see the dark silhouette of a knight standing at the foot of the cave.

  • 2) For a group of 5-10

Forbidden Secrets

Near a road, you see a dark corrupted path leading off into the plains. A bloodied scout half stumble-runs to you, gasping that you get help, for there is a great trouble down that road. The event will not commence until 5-10 people gather. Down the road, an large worn down fortified cave appears before you. At the entrance, you see a once noble knight bloodied and disheveled. When he sees you approach, he groans out a response. "I did not expect him. Be wary, it was a lie...". Continuing down the cavern, you see a robed man pacing around his minions in a very large area. In the back, you see a large, red menacing crystal floating. The robed man yells: "Blasted! My witches are incompetent, and they've led unwanted attention here. Apprentices, we must flee to our brethren! They will shield our secret." Upon seeing your group, he proclaims: "We have company! Apprentices, eliminate them!"

The apprentices (either real characters or just strong mobs) attack your group. Around the robed man, the air pulses strangely. Necromancy pours out, infecting your men! The robed man, now the necromancer, seems to be completing incredible feats. Monsters appear out of thin air and lightning crackles around. Your party can see a red mist trailing to his body from the red crystal. while battling the Necromancer and his apprentices, a holy knight appears, aiding the group in fighting against the Necromancer. After some fighting, the holy knight demands everyone overtake the crystal. The battle moves to the end of the hall, where at last, either a player/the knight snatches the crystal from it's place. Almost immediately, the power drains from the Necromancer and his apprentices, removing their power. The Necromancers escape through a secret door, proclaiming their revenge. this marks the end of the event.

The Knight either takes the crystal himself or entrusts it to one of the party members. He rewards the group, looting the base and caving it in, swearing that this vile evil can never return again.

  • 3) For a group of 20+

Siege

Upon a seemingly random city (wherever the crystal is located), dark clouds begin to pool around it. The air thunders and quakes, and strange things begin to happen. Whispers carry in the air as the sky itself seems to darken, heralding terrible news. This would be broadcasted across the server, so that a crowd would gather to see what is happening. All of a sudden, the city quakes, and monsters begin to pour into the city from the walls. All around, robed figures appear with lightning at their fingertips. A thunderous voice rolls throughout the city: "We demand the crystal! Bring it into our grasp!" Monsters continue to pour into the city and would hopefully push the defenders into a keep/safehouse. In there, the same holy knight will proclaim that the Necromancer's minions must be routed before he is to be confronted. He gathers small squads to go out in the storm and fight. There, they confront two mini-bosses: Ungkk the Defiler, an abnormally large Olog, and Clovis the Devious, a daring necromancic apprentice.

If squad wins:

After defeating the two mini-bosses, the squad returns to the keep. The Holy Knight proclaims it is time, unleashing the power of the city against the Necromancer's forces. After fighting away the mobs, they confront the Necromancer, who unleashes a miasma of corruption, fighting on until he is finally defeated. The city is liberated, the camps of the monsters destroyed, and the flags wrung high. The booty of the monsters' are split, the reward going through the crowd. The Holy Knight thanks all those who helped rid of the menace, promising them protection in the future. He leaves, event finished.

If squad loses:

If said squad fails to defeat the mini-bosses/loses too many people, the Holy Knight brings back all that remain to the keep. He says they have failed, but there is the way. Holding the crystal, he says: "It can be purified, but only in the presence of it's master! We must venture out and make the crystal holy. Only then can the Necromancer be defeated!" The forces of the city are led outside, where they engage the Necromancer. In the fight, the holy knight stands back and purifies the crystal to a holy hue of yellow and white. It greatly weakens him. He charges through the crowd, encouraging them to push on as the light of the crystal shines brightly, sending even the Necromancer cowering. In one last act of valor, he plunges the crystal into the Necromancer, creating a large explosion. It ends in the death of the Necromancer, as well as the Holy Knight. As his body lays on the concrete, the holy crystal floats in the air, remaining suspended above the city. A sense of purity and serenity flows from it. In the Knight's dying moments, he proclaims that the crystal will protect the city for the time to come.

NOTE: Throughout this entire event, the siege is very interactive and /real/. Meaning forces will be routed, sections of streets blocked off, monster camps being made, etc. It is a conquestable zone where you conquer areas occupied by the enemy, or are routed by them. Barricades, all that fun stuff. This event could last hours before the final sequences occur.

  • How long do you plan to stay in the ET?: As long as possible.

  • Tell me a joke: “Knock knock” “Who’s there” “Boo” “Boo who?” “haha you’re crying”

I've been actively roleplaying on my character for a good week and a half and since finals are over I have a lot more time to be on the server, so yes, I'm here to stay.
