Author: Farmer Nob

As a small note, this is not official text of the Church, but rather observations and beliefs of a peasant within Leuvaarden.

"Away from me, wrongdoer! Your words are laced with lies, your praises are to the furnace, but not its Creator. Your tongue is serpentine, and it will slither no longer."

With the modern evolution of our society, the discernible difference between Good and Evil are often blurred, misrepresented, and fabricated. Evil is the absence of the Creator; a life without him causes the heart of one to sin. Evil is not the rotting black pit of a lonely mountain, and neither is Good the jewel of the sky, upon its proud pedestal. The differences are heavily exaggerated within paganistic cultures. Those with petty ambitions take it upon themselves to uphold these false values. The true differences are outlined within the ancient scrolls. Iblees's vile nature was repelled under the might of the Descendants and Creator's heavenly host. Most see that Iblees's nature can only be represented in the classical physical aspect, being that rotting pit of corruption and miasma. The only direct experiences we have had with the Fallen Host was his multitude of direct attacks upon the realms of Creation, thus we all associate these attributes with such a being. The nature of Iblees, however, extends farther than this. It is the nature of the Fallen Host to penetrate the hearts of mortality- to plague those hearts with deceit and malice. For when you look upon a brother, does admiration and love fill your heart? Envy and hatred knows their way into the heart of man, and guide our decisions. It is this abominable thing within us that causes our misguided actions, the only thing explaining this phenomenon is the corruption brought upon by the Fallen Host. This deep rooted corruption within all of man is what causes us to stray from the Creator and his rightful doctrines, his holy saints and the sacred Church for which it stands.

"All that is not of the Creator is of Iblees and his Fallen Host."

The folly of cultist and paladin alike is their blind faith in the exaggerations of these goods and evils. Their cause is one sided and shallow, they are doomed to fail from the start. Their mannerisms cultivate in attempted acts of self glorification, their cause to serve rogue Aenguls and Daemons. The Heavenly Host, in service to the Creator and his undying will, does not and cannot perpetuate the false worship of individual Aenguls that grant in retrospect unholy power to their followers. Without stark obedience and fealty to the Creator and his holy doctrines, Aenguls who grant power in their own glory are abominable creations. This creates the rise to the Creator's chosen, those who uphold his name after the onslaught of pagans. Humanity has amply created various holy orders to uphold the name of the Creator and his sacred Church. It is this originally mentioned chaos that is combated, through the purging of evil in the hearts of commoners and sanctification of the state. Through exaltation, true guidance can be achieved in faith and faith alone. What is good and what is evil is not to be determined by false doctrines of the Aenguls and Daemons, those furnaces worshipped by the masses. It is determined by the Faith in the Creator, his holy doctrines, his Sacred Church, and the Heavenly Host of by which all exists. Amen.

Surrender! You of little faith, who hungers for his love. Know that it has been repaid in full to those who acknowledge him. To surrender one’s self to the Creator and his will is the path to ultimate communion with the Host. To gives one’s self to the sacred Church and the ultimate ideology is to become a vessel of the Creator. Once this is achieved, all things can be upheld. The Order of Saint Amyas, the commonwealth, the lords and numerous peasantry cannot complete their duties without the fulfillment of the Creator. For we were born of the Creator; complete absence of faith resulting in eternal damnation to the ignorant. The doctrine of the Creator has been spread far across the reaches of these mortal planes and the next, and all those who do not find the Creator in his heart are rejecting him and his ideology, thus labeled as heretics and spiritual deserters. Why shall the righteous spare the heretics the fate of the blade? It is not just to leave those who defile his word in good health, for they will continue to blaspheme and spread false testimony. They will roam this earth searching for those to corrupt, and those who are drawn away from the Creator's will are damned for all the eternities.

Prayers

A Prayer for the Nobility

"O' Creator, guide our hearts in leading our people

o'er the brazen keeps of old,

In strength never ending you feed our people full

Deliver your wrath to our enemies

Make the pilgrimage holy, our communion sacred

Let your watchful hand govern the crownlands,

Let your whispers fill the minds of the righteous

To safekeep the motherlands. Amen."

A Prayer for the Warrior

"Let heretics fill my sword with fury,

Let me body fill with holy fervor,

Let me strike down your foes.

Your words breath life into my veins,

Your light empowers my blade,

Your will be done in the highest heavens.

Deus Magnus."

A Prayer for the Commonwealth

"O', what hands you have gave me,

To do wonders upon these barren lands.

I praise thee, in your loving acts.

These stones shall sing to you,

These works will know your name.

With your invigorating glory you empower me,

With your everlasting care you comfort me.

The generations after me will sing you praise,

Forever and ever, amen."

A Prayer for the Peasantry

"In these pastures I know your will.

In these fields your light shines on me.

In burning heretics, I am enlightened.

In the retribution of the ignorant, you guide me.

Bless these crops, food feeding generations,

Bless these feeble hands, works done in your name!

Glory to the highest, glory to your implements, they are used justly.

In what can I not do with you?

In what can I do without you?

Your will has transversed my humble generations,

You will exist throughout the ages.

For my paltry being, I offer myself to you.

Amen."

With the sanctification of faith through doctrine and prayer, all things are made possible through the Holy Creator. All lessons be learned, all knowledge obtained.

The Savage Man

The savage man was a dangerous one, and many a town folk feared his presence.

He bore his way through the streets, his feet falling clumsily against the gravel in large claps. He cared not for any stealthy attitudes, for he was out for the folk! He came around the bend in the fields, laying his eyes upon his next targets.

There sat two men. One, adorned in bright clothings and fine silk. His voice was strong and rich, projecting a thunderous voice. He preached of himself, and his lifestyle was lavish.

There sat a paltry man, shorter than any normal individual. His hands were coarse and rough, his straw farmer’s hat extending far out to break the sun’s unrelenting rays. His prayers were silent, and muttered quietly under his breath. The savage locked his eyes upon the loud priest, pouncing on him with stilted strength, making quick work of his fine embroideries. The peasant quickly made away, safe from the wild savage.

What man can testify to God and say, “My clothes were made by the fine craftsmen of the High Elves. My gems were mined by dwarves, and my lorraine cross by the most skilled of wood elven cutters. Look, my faith!”
Nay, none of these things will project yourself into the Heavens. It is by faith and good works, honest works, that salvation can be achieved through the Creator and the sacred Church.

It is these values that hold humanity together. By vanquishing all evil from the hearts by the light of the Creator and his word, unison and peace is achieved in the hearts that follow Him. It is by his works that these words are consecrated.

Iblees was repelled, but festered in the hearts of man.

With the foundation of his Word, his divine inspiration, and the deliverance of the sacred Church, we may turn from our sinful manners and be one with the Creator.

These are the thoughts of a simple peasant.

"A literate farmer? who'd this peasant pay to write this up for him?" asks another farmer, of whom happens to be illiterate.

Bishop Kristoff frowns slightly. "Everything is very well written. But to clarify these prayers aren't sanctioned by the church until the Pontiff approves."

The Bishop Humbert of Leuvaarden reads over this supposed thesis, nodding to himself.

"So far the thesis is worthy of deaconhood, but we must have an interview to see if he is worthy to be an acolyte. The prayers should be sent to the High Pontiff for pending."

"Oh what irony, when the peasant farmers write with such eloquence that they rival, if not exceed, the level of those who rule them." Lorien's is heard to mutter, an amused half grin on his face.
