Principality of Savoy 915 Share Posted March 23, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBRJfILmXDE&list=PL3C274DFA8EA47AB6&index=2 Within the towering cathedral of Petrus, a congregation assembles for a momentous occasion. Those within chatter in hushed tones, noblemen and peasants alike fidgeting anxiously. Amid the notable figures of Orenian nobility in the front rows, the Duke Vasili Vanir, his brother Arik, and Count Guy de Bar can be seen, solemnly awaiting the arrival of their soon-to-be monarch. Silencing the unmistakable clamor of the unruly mass, an escort of armored Savoyard bodyguards parade into the cathedral, affecting an air of civility amongst the crowd. Entering the cathedral, the rigid Olivier de Savoie strides down the aisle, flanked by the priest, Branaford of Cavan. The helmet-clad Duke of Aldersberg walks towards the altar, passing countless unspeaking onlookers from all reaches of humanity. Ascending the platform abreast the officiating priest, Olivier of Savoie stands before the assembled throng of witnesses. Thus begins the coronation of the new King of Oren. “Olivier de Savoie do you hereby swear in sight of the Creator and his people to uphold the laws of Oren and the faith and protect the people of Oren until your dying breath? Do you swear to protect oren and its church? Will you uphold the laws of the almighty? Will you never falter on your faith?" The good Father inquired, pausing at each question's end to heed Olivier's response. The duke responded with a sole nod, swearing his oaths before the assembled congregation and Creator. He now arose a king, preaching to the audience of a renewed humanity, speaking of a future of both prosperity and might. As the nascent ruler of Oren finishes his speech, looking out onto the assemblage of his subjects, the room erupts into a raucous round of applause for their new king. The party then departs towards the Palace, the monarch’s path adorned with the gleaming points of the Order of Saint Amyas’ longswords and the Second Regiment’s pikes, to celebrate humanity’s next chapter with a feast.

Publius 4098 Share Posted March 24, 2015 "Another King, that won't last." A man would say in the crowd Publius struggles not to laugh. "Longer than any of the husk-kingdom of Uruguan, by perhaps 10 years at least. We cut those dwarven lives shorter than their stature, and that's saying something." Afterwords, he would raise his sword and cheer, "Ave Oren! Ave de Savoie! Ave humanity!"

Overland 349 Share Posted March 24, 2015 Andria Ith'ael's face displays a slight smile as the news reaches her, knowing that her former liege (of sorts) is now the King of Oren. Yet her delight would be kept to herself as she resides within her home in the Silver City of Haelun'or, doomed to slowly count the days down until the final siege of the city occurs. Meanwhile, Laelius Aedalfieri celebrates the day by spending his minuscule earnings on various types of alcohol on himself and the other patrons in the Grandmaster Tavern in Leuvaarden. Today was a glorious day indeed!
