Publius 4098 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Aeran replies. "To escape the grasp of a elitist, racist, dictatorship only to willingly enter into grasp of an elitist, racist, monarchy is taking two steps forwards then one step back." "I'm sorry, but you sound quite ignorant to the comings and goings of the world. We lost a king and declared war over the rights of not just you, but for the mali'ame and mali'ker that care not for the genocide the Silver City was trying to perpetrate, and for those persecuted for being "impure" and whoever else suffered under their boot! We offer protection, food, wealth, industrial support, peace and prosperity, so that you may recover from the blows dealt down to you from the plateau Haelun'or sits on!" Shaking his head, Publius goes on in a rather upset tone. "Your leadership was a democracy of sorts, was it not? Why do you no longer trust the decisions of your leaders, if they are you you supported before the second this was announced? We seek anything but the destruction of your people. If you take time to see Oren as it is, you will realize that we only offer what your people have fought so hard to attain! We value your friendship, as we think is mutual... If not, what do you truly think of all we've lost for you? Was that a waste, or do you deny it? Because I have written proclamations that prove me right, sir." Looking to the sky, Publius calms himself, frowning as he realizes how heavy handed he may seem. Quietly, he sighs, saying: "Have faith in your leadership, and let time prove to you what we've lost so much over: That Oren is not for her lords, but for her people. Count yourself among the many that benefit from a powerful military, fruitful harvests, boat loads of minas and an unending supply of industrial wares, for that is what your leaders are trying to do for you with this binding."

"You are fighting for the rights of Welves and Delves. And I appreciate that Oren is trying to get Kalenz off of the leadership of the Helves. But no sane person thinks that genociding an entire sub-race is a reasonable response to trying to dethrone a tyrant." Aeran also pauses, although he was never angry. Instead, he blows his nose into a cloth. A common cold, you know? "Not questioning the actions of your leader is a sure way to end up like Haulen'Or, forsaking your entire race to support a dictator who gives no **** about you. You fight hard for what you believe in, for what you've tried so hard to achieve, not us. You are imposing your values and laws on the Wood Elf nation, even if you are doing it with the consent of the leaders of Laureh'lin." "And you kill way too many people. So."

"We are not going for the genocide of a sub-race, you buffoon! We started the damn war to prevent such a thing, and we're not just going to dethrone him, but do away with any who support such racist and backwards ways! Are you too blind to see this, or too daft and racist to believe that humanity may share goals with your people?" Swinging his head about, he spits with rage as he continues. "Why would we question our leader when his goals are made transparent? We hold not one man in leadership, but a group of several of Oren's most August and great figures! They have done well by us, and tremendously well by you! We forsake no one based on race, but apparently you are too daft too pay attention to that. Also, imposing? We are imposing... With consent? Are you mad? Are you slow? What are you on about? If you honestly doubt they represent your interests, then why in the name of Godani did you support these people? You make my head spin..." Sneering, he continues. "As for death, it is slay or be slain, and we simply have done a good job of not being the latter. More are to be put on the ground too, as we still have enemies in Haelun'or. Are we to ignore them, and let them commit genocide? No. More are to die. We must slay the wicked, and if you're unwilling, then just say so, and stay out of the way." Hardly giving Alirya a glance, he booms as he departs one last thing. "I had not expected a racist out of a people who had suffered racial oppression, never mind two." After arriving in Petrus, he has sent a pile of copies of the late king Andrik Vyrda's message to the High Elves to Aeran and Alirya, the courier of them simply advises the folks to educate themselves. https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/123636-an-order-to-cease-and-desist/?hl=cease (Not meant to offend OOC, but Publius would certainly not take what was said without a true response.)

And yes, maybe you share goals with the Wood Elf people; But Oren certainly doesn't represent this Wood Elf's thoughts." "You forsake nobody based on race. Except the Dwarves. And the Orcs." "Perhaps you did not impose this on Laureh'lin, but this wasn't a democratic decision from what I saw. But I did see little." Would you demand the children fight? The crippled? There are other ways to show nationalism and pride than joining a guard." - - - Overhearing Publius and Aeran's conversation a rather short poltergeist with wood elven features and clipped ears becomes confused. The gaping wound on her throat seems to stretch and contort almost like a second mouth. Daenes drifts away before she's seen but some may hear soft murmuring as she comments to herself. "Times have changed, I used to be looked down on for taking a human lover yet now it seems my kin embrace the humans. Interesting..."
__WaterFox__ 636 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Alirya pauses then looks back "You /must/ be young, that or an extreme nationalist. Twice I have seen a despicable hatred against the elves arise from Oren in a relatively short period of time, the most recent being when Orenian soldiers seemed to have difficulty discerning the difference between high elves and all other elves. You want trust? Kinship? Then quit with the ear necklaces and teach your kin that Horen and Malin are and always will be brothers"

JCmarine 12 Share Posted April 10, 2015 * Sophie looks at this "Hmm. So thats what those signs outside Cerulin were for..." * sighs "Oren takes over yet another free realm through pressure and fear of their armies." Smirks "Well! Soon enough, the orenian revolution begins. Soon..." * Sophie Greyhame tosses information on the paper to the fire "May Oren fall, as well as Saint Amyas. Hail the creator." * Grabs her sketchpad, a gold lorraine cross on it, and continues her works upon the battle of Angren "Oh, and Adolf to." * Isabella reads this "Hmm. 300 years as a ghost." *Chuckles "Im a spectre, a good ghost, people try to kill me still. This is such a curious thing, it plain for all to see that Oren is going to ****. They must be replaced, rumors ive heard of a revoultion and I do hope it comes to frution." * Smiles and turns away "Hauleun'or may be full of snotty elves, but genocide is a sin, aided by every man whom aids. At least Oren took over Cerulian peacefully." * The rarely seen Spectre dissapears into thin air, not planning on being seen for quite a long while.
