If you are interested in playing a highlander character who is a part of the Colborn family feel free to contact me, i am the current head of the family and we try to create good RP that is interesting and detailed. The family is a mix between Highlander culture and Petrus culture the family itself being a middle class family with strong family bonds. I could explain the family in detail and tell you the way things are so far as it's a upcomming family with three players from the GMT zone. 

 

I cannot offer wealth or Power but these are not things we seek in the Colborns family either way, though we are efficient and hardworking so such things might come in the future. Peaceful... not war-driven.

Democracy... no Kingdom or Houses

Advancement-driven society... no backward agrarian society hinged on arms

A united direction under a constitution agreed to and ratified by all... not rested upon the will of heredity and the squabble of feuding houses

An emphasis on culture, which rests on the belief of ancestors of Salvus.. actually, the same happens in Oren - two nations with some similarity. 

A drive for absolute neutrality and independence - with the Citizen's rights first, before some Foreign King or Lordling.. rather than subjecting people to make themselves inept, war-crazed.

 

Yes, we both share xenophobia, but it's a productive pride, which has brought us together as a bastion of the other - the truly Enlightened, for knowledge.

 

Indeed, 'Foreigner' is nearly a term of insult for all Salvians, but, when a land provides its people not just bread, but wine, why go elsewhere? When a land provides its people with not just a source of minas, but a means to become masters in their work - for it to be law to do so - why go elsewhere? When a land provides the opportunity for any person to ascend into its highest seat of power - why go elsewhere?

 

Yet, there are those outside who choose to remain ignorant of all this. Choose to continue the status quo in hope of some new beacon of roleplay. Maybe some good would come from stitching these kingdoms together even more? They think so.

 

We use our quill, and not our sword, and hope you may too.
