"So, a fortune teller, most interesting. Haven't had my fortune told in a good few decades. So, tell me, will I advance any further than I have - from impoverished to Baron? Baconthief 682 Share Posted April 21, 2015 Mizziyrn would only offer a shake of his head as so many elves, allegedly intelligent beings, commune with the fortune-teller who uses vagaries and chance to trick the fool hearty into believing in the mystical, thus gaining profit. Ironically, after showing disdain with elves fascination with this quazi-occultist activity, mizz departs to go give an offering to an ancestral spirit. Kalehart 1096 Share Posted April 23, 2015 Peter chews idly on his thumb nail as he observes the last customer's reading, brow arched slightly in amusement and quizzicality. Dressed in an assortment of furs and travel-worn gear, the scruffy looking fellow brushes a hand through his chest-length beard and stands. He saunters towards Pern with a considerate expression and peers down at the cards. He would appear a bit dour, before his expression eases into one of a distinct kindness and humor. "Quite the show you've got going here, lass." he comments, peering around, "Though I bet a fair few of these folk aren't here for the cards, eh?" he lets slip a jovial chortle before leaning over and propping himself against the table, seeming to observe her with a searching expression, "Well, have at it, then! A reading to tell me what's ahead, aye?" He draws a small leather pouch from his pocket and sets it on the table with a distinct metallic clank; about twenty-five mina contained within, "I can pay more if I like what I hear." he muses with a playful tone, stepping back as he awaits her response.
