I've Played My Last Bit of LotC

And it really has. For those of you who do not know me, I used to be TapeSauce, the Minecraft fantasy role-player. Albeit, I'm finally done with all that. From now on, I'm just going to be Cody, some high-school kid whose spent too much time on the computer as is. I'm not going to elucidate on what just happened to get me banned. That information can be found on that deplorable ban appeal that I made, explicitly for shits and giggles. Rather, this is about why I'm leaving Lord of the Craft, the pinnacle of fantasy role-play everywhere. 

 

No - it's not about the corrupt staff or the crappy server-wide event lines, nor the playerbase or lack of engagement. It's because of a notion I proposed to Vaereroes and Noperism little less than a couple hours ago. I decided that it was high-time to pugsy innocents at the Red Rose Tavern, and to get banned from the server. Along the road, I was skeptical, sometimes regretting what hadn't even occurred yet. But, Vaereroes was convinced that it was a good idea, and Noperism was in it for the meme. He hasn't logged onto LotC in months upon months, and had no qualms against getting banned. So, after reaffirming my choice, we did just that. A lot of people were killed in the event (shout out to arkantos for first blood), and Sky witnessed it all. Throughout the whole thing, we three were laughing and enjoying our bon voyage to the server - our denouement for LotC. So after we invigoratingly popped around ten people, Sky banned us all. 

 

I've been talking to Sky on skype, and he understands that I'm leaving alongside Vaereroes (Noperism left a long time ago, honestly). However, he constantly reminds me that it shouldn't have happened the way that it did. It caused a lot of damage and harm, after all, and was in no way morally correct. But, it's too late to just go back and erase it. It was a spur of the moment decision, but its outcome is something that I would never trade. I'm gone from LotC, as is my friend. It was fun while it lasted and all, but it's just not worth the time that I wrongly spent in it. When Ziko99 was banned, he said something that stuck out in Vaereroes' mind, and he brought it to my attention before we pugsied.

He's right. LotC can screw with you if muh immersion rises to a volatile level. That's exactly why I'm leaving. Vaereroes said that the last 7 months of him being banned felt better than when he came back to the server in the long run. Even now I feel better. I'm going to go out and do more things with my life, focus on my real friends, my family; my future. Of course, I'll still visit Teamspeak frequently, and stay on Skype all the time, but this server isn't suited for me anymore. Most people are going to say that I'll regret it, and that I will try to come back - but I won't. I promise that much. Sometimes, you've just got to move on from things. Buddha says to sacrifice, so that's what I'm going to do. This thread isn't much, but it helped me vent out what I needed to, to feel perfectly relieved with leaving. Stay chaste, my children. I hate it when people claim that they have matured out of LotC by leaving in the most immature way possible, but I don't think you've claimed that.

Also, run a virus scan or look at your chrome/firefox plugins and addons, you clearly have some adware or something with that link stuff in your posts.
