One important thing we need to consider in the new map is how they tried to make the next line of maps "Racial focused".

 

Currently we sit in the ''dwarven portion of the Aos" or something along those lines, which frankly is a absolute joke. Implementation was failed in all regards with them throwing the most  significant location in dwarven history out the window with 1 two hour world event and never letting us back in, seven months ago. Past that we got nothing.

 

So please don't do this to another race and butcher their lore.

 

Whatever we do next map, don't make it racially orientated or make a wider storyline for one of the races because the staff can't handle it. We have just had our lore fucked up completely this map with our racial magic stolen from us and our capital claimed two months in because of a lack of vision by the administration at the time regarding their staff's actual capacity.

 

 5.0 is a good idea, it should happen with a completely new view as well. Land should be large enough for a racial nation to maintain all of their own land under one leader and be managed effectively, namely each nation should have something roughly the size of 2 Orenian heartlands. 

This gives them room for events in their own lands actually relevent to them. While the capitals can be close to one another (kind of, we don't want a Anthos and we don't want a Athera, something in between) each nation should have a large back garden so they can manage their own towns and not everything looks crammed together. And please, this time look at it with the perspective of making a new map design and not a nostalgia trip over Aegis or Asulon.

Give us a new map, please.. *puts his hands together* But please if your making a map, please take your time, just give us a high quality map with a nations slightly spaced apart and please make it not as compact as it currently is now in Athera, we need some travel roleplay once and a while

I dislike the idea of another transition map. Staff should, when the next map comes out in a year or so, have a straight go through into the new map.

I'm so fed up with this map already. Can't we just void the whole nexus plot thing ever happening?

I too dislike nexus, but I've had no trouble with greifing now! Nexus is helpful in some ways but a tad over done and it wasnt proportioned well in Athera. The majority of plots are along the main road and in the south. You see very few plots in the north, and they are all large plots. Was this planned well? Of course not.. Keep nexus, just plan it better for 4.5-5.0 and for any further maps. :)

I would be fine if we had a map like Thales, especially since shiftnative no longer developer. A MC-Generated map would be nice but we would need to use some world edit to fix the wonky biome placement of 1.8. I doubt I could take another year on this god forsaken map.

I am always a fan of islands to keep races isolated to further expand their own influence as much as they want and their culture, with enough open land in case of war for battlegrounds.

 

Something like what I saw with Asulon was pretty good in this regard, though that was, from my short experience with it, poorly executed. So, 5.0, no transition map, and GG.

Temporary maps were never even supposed to be a thing until Asulon was lost by accident, if I'm not mistaken. I would welcome a transition to 5.0, but please no maps in the interim.
