The Levy

 

The Levy of Danarré is the backbone of House Castámara. One of the pinnacles in Rosarian culture, it is a workforce like no other. One that is in many senses equal to those composing the Noble House itself.

 

The Levy has existed since the House began it's existence around the time of Thales. It started as merely friends of the House who did not share the family name. It has since grown into a full horizontal enterprise that aims not for only the growth of House of Cástamara, but also the shared development of all the individuals in the levy.

 

While the levy is under direct influence of House of Cástamara, every decision is carried out by the Chief of each section of the levy, which is then brought to the head of the House for final approval. This leads to a direct and constant communication and union with the House, dismantling the slave-slaver relationship found in many other groups of the same kind. 

 

Three sections can be identified within the Levy of Danarré;

 

The Farmer Union

 

The Union of Farmers is one of the most relevant within the Levy. Dedicants to the fields and the grain, these loyal men prove their worth everyday with the sweat of their brow. Most of them ambitious men with higher plans, the fields of Cástamara always prove to be an enduring and worthwhile lesson.

 

The Swords of Thorns

The Swords of Thorns are the guarding faction within the Levy of Danarré. They are the swords sworn to protect not only House Cástamara, but anyone who claims to be devout to the Creator. They are stalwart guardians, defenders of Humanity.

 

The Artist Company

The Artists Company is one of it’s kind. It encompasses from crafty blacksmiths working the fiery forges to the more calm, and relaxed art of drawing and painting. Tailors, Blacksmiths, huntsmen and even tacticians offer their services to the Artist Company, which means to define Art for all of Athera.

 

The levy also posesses a custom tailored uniform, made by Santiago himself for those who wish to wear within the Levy.
