KoTo 610 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Because Cyndikate, this is not Asulon and opinions do not stay the same forever. We had skill redistribution in Asulon yes, but it was a donation perk, just like soulstones. You got more uses when you donated for a higher lvl, for example Iron gave you 1, gold 2 and so forth... Personally I find this to be quite dumb, but it doesn't even crack the top 10 fails list so it doesn't really bother me.
Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Cyndikate, there is probably a reason why it was taken out. Hmm...i wonder... Yeah because the crappy skills plugin was removed because it was impossible for the newer coders to decipher. Yes, we had the skills distribution in asulon and back then, no one cared about it and actually just played the game. Wanna know why people didn't care? Because no one relied on a plugin to do their roleplaying, unlike our current playerbase.
Jachnun 566 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I think that as a student well versed in these techniques I really think your really going about the donation management/income all wrong. You are basically business focused trying to endorse a higher percent of donation, by adding in perks that make it slightly like a pay to win thing, that works very well in factions, but not on an rp server. I think that you need to be business focused yes but in a sense of proper advertising like Chuck said with Availer and Vaq getting youtubers to recommend the server, getting the LOTC name out there in order to increase the player population rather than trying to take their money. And to be frank, I think this is a testament to the incapability of LOTC's business management, this is obviously a bad decision for the wrong crowd, for the wrong server, they have the money and they just want more when none of the money seems to be put in to use. You are trying to take money from people when they are skeptical as it is that their money isn't even being put in to use? Really? This isn't EA or Ubisoft you don't need to be so ruthless about your business management and act so heartless lol. Edit: One more thing, I endorse every player to not pay a penny to this faulty management team who shall waste your money with no worth, I am afraid to say if you pay a cent for any of these you are basically letting this grow in to a 100% pay to win server where irl money actually affects your rp.
Sky 0 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Isn't this the same junk that we had in Asulon? I fail to see the problem. Why are you guys complaining? Asulon: Given a set amount of experience to allocate to skills. Athera: You have to grind your levels for the skills. Why is it a major difference? Because back then, you just put the levels into the skills and don't worry. Now, after all this time of people being able to brag about their levels and able to revolve their trade around being angelic whatever, now someone just has to pick the easiest skill to grind and bam, they can relocate them into the hardest skill to grind. Booklight12 481 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I think Jachun said about everything. I believe you guys should focus more on allocating money to advertisments, and getting youtubers to review and recommend the server. Though, if you o plan on keeping these one time uses, you should bundle it in with rank purchases. So if you say buy gold vip+ you get the one time uses, but if you want it again you need to buy it seperately.

There are more important things to brag about. Something they actually RP'd for. Look guys, I RP'd for 3 IRL months and my character's the **** now. I'm king of X race now. My character's a necromancer now, how cool is that? Something worth bragging about. Not, look guys, I grinded a restrictive plugin all the way to max level that actually means nothing, and there's no incentive to even grind to that level. Oh, and the plugin ads nothing to RP other than players letting it replace their roleplay.
Sky 0 Share Posted May 29, 2015 "Look guys, I'm angelic. Come buy my items cause I can get you the best ****!" That's what they would say, not what you wrote... I understand you see no reason against it, but lets avoid putting words in people's mouths.

Eli Cohen 10 Share Posted May 31, 2015 I've chosen a main profession before reading the Nexus guide. A mistake, they tend to happen, especially to those of a human race. Then I've read that choosing at least one profession leads to a limitation of others. May I use such donation not to reassemble the experience but to deselect the main profession?
