-The Cult of Iblees-

"Too long have we slept under the cold dark, for too many years we have waited for HIS return into our wretched world that has been tainted with the curse of the creator. But now, our glorious father thou name is sacred has returned to us at long last, rise brethren so we may take what is ours and make thy lords will come true."

-The Lost One

-Denouncing The True Heretics-

Those whom worship the creator worship only conflict, they do not see how the end of mortality would benefit us all and are therefore the true heretics of this world. They call us evil yet all we seek is to end the corruption that haunts this world, they do not see how life is fallible and fragile.

Look at the soft flesh beneath your skin and the weak mortality of all races. The sooner you can accept this as a defect the sooner you may transcend it through his power.

-The Will of Iblees and The Denouncing of Evil-

Our master does not seek the end of all things as you may think, but rather seeks to forge a glorious new world that will stand the test of time and deliver us from the chains of the wretched "Creator" and all that is so falsely "holy" where you think we offer chains we offer you freedom.

All that is considered "Evil" and all that stands against the wicked flame of the false "creator" is a extension of our masters will and is welcome to join our ranks.

-Rules-

Joining the cult will be rather easy as all you will be required to do is fill out a application HOWEVER, we will have rules that you must obey to prevent unwanted behaviour from taking place in the cult.

Rule 1

All cultists MUST have a cult name and cannot affiliate any of their persona's to that persona. Additionally you must wear a uniform/robe given to you with the mask on it.

Here is a example of why this is necessary: Eddy was a normal human farmer that joined the cult of iblees, rather then using a made up a name, he used his real name and refused to wear the robes. For this sole reason spies within the cult found him and had him tortured for information. Shortly after he was crucified in Petrus only to survive and be sacrificed into the pit of despair by the cult.

Here is what will happen if you follow this rule: Miner Bill was a cultist in the cult of Iblees but kept his mouth shut like a good little cultist and even wore his robes when on cult meetings and gatherings.  He used a made up name to hide his identity and he was never found out by any holy order and even managed to sacrifice 17 halflings by the time he died of old age.

Note: If you do not follow this rule your character will be kicked out of the cult or perhaps even pked to keep our plans safe from Oren and the other kingdoms, this rule has no exceptions and by consenting to the rules you agree to have your cultist pked should he be found out.

Rule 2

No heroes allowed, if you signed up for the cult its because your a edgy fanatic that will serve Iblees to the point where you would kill yourself if he told you to.

Under no exception can you go hero mode and blabber your mouth about what we are doing in the cult oocly or rply to ANYONE outside of the cult or staff. Doing so and getting caught will lead to immediate exile from the cult and then you will be hunted down and murdered, additionally information you had goes to your grave if you are found out.

Rule 3

The final, most basic rule of the whole cult. Have fun.

Wait, so did you officially OOCly ban people from joining your cult to spy on it or work against it from the inside?

No, i oocly banned them from joining without telling me they are spies in ooc first. But either way, the cult isn't for heros and will be secretive, so if they join they will be found out very fast and sacrificed.

Edit: Spies CAN tell leaders that are part of staff aslong as both parties swear to keep the information out of the public without informing the cult first.

If you wanted this "order" or cult to remain secret, I would've refrained from making a post in the first place... also what's to say that wouldn't lead to you metagaming their character's intentions if they told you they were a spy in the first place? First rule of spying, DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOU'RE A SPY, seems to come with the name doesn't it?

If you're recruiting, recruit people ingame, 99% of evil cults that don't do this die out immediately after a week or two. Find people you can trust instead to join instead of saying "don't be a spy please" oocly. If one of your number turns after jumping your hoops then well you're a poor judge of character.

...i will refrain from even responding. If someone wants to spy they can but they HAVE to make the intention clear so it doesn't cause confusion in ooc if people find out about the cult.

((Given that this says that joining is very easy, only requiring an application, this wouldn't be exactly difficult for someone of a more heroic persuasion to find out about it.  Additionally, why do they have to tell you if they're a spy OOCly?  All that would seemingly do is give you ample opportunity and capability to metagame their intentions, even if it's simply not promoting them or giving them responsibility, or not allowing them into a Skype chat.  If someone is spying, they should be treated exactly as every other person unless you know they are a spy in-roleplay.  This in no way changes the roleplay, all it does is give you information you would not have in-character.))

If they want to spy they don't have to tell you bugger all really... It's a case of making sure you recruit the right people to begin with not a case of making everyone sign an OOC pact so they can't do it period. That is completely against the point of Roleplay. **** happens in Roleplay sometimes, even the friggen ascended have had their bad apples in the past, recruiting the right people is an artform almost. You can't demand it, you just have to roll with the ups and downs and sort it out if and when a situation occurs.

Alright, if i remove the darn no spies allowed rule will that make you stop bashing the thread?

Edit: I changed it, spies can join but if they are found out they will be kicked out of the cult and killed. Aditionally to be fair, any info they had goes to their grave unless its in a book.

If you did everything ingame instead of using the forums to /publicly announce/ a secret Cult to everyone not to metagame you, you probably wouldn't have an issue with being metagamed... Unless someone decides to "tell on you" to others icly. In which case well then you need to work out a Cult Loyalty strategy, one that actually fits around things ICly... That's why the Ascended for example does recruitment ICly, instead of these silly applications, an application does nothing, it says nothing about the person, who they are, what they do. Ingame, that is where their true colours are. What they do and say there is what you need to look out for.

It is well known the Seers of Aerk'iath's massive hate for the followers of Khorr. The Lord of Torment, Kain lets free a rasp of red mist as he thinks of the last time an Iblees cult arose.

They died brutally.

Kain readies himself for the Great Sundering.
