snow-witch.jpg((I think this is from DnD))

For what  seemed like endless hours, the Salvians trudged through the snow that covered the mountains. They were cold, and perhaps even hungry, but a fiery lust for vengeance fueled them in their trek. They approached the Witches' Mountain in the early hours of the morning. The Witches waited, in silence, watching as these brave warriors ascended, hellbent on slaying the ladies that resided within the age old castle, now covered in ice.

They were slaughtered.

The ice and snow around them seemed almost alive, ensnaring and harming them whenever it could. Their only consolation was the head of one, single witch. Her head was not placed upon a pedestal, rather, it rested in her Mother's arms, as she wept for her lost child.

Yes, bravery is subjective...Most call it foolish.

((OOC))

No salvians survived, I'm p sure, so nobody would really know about the event. Except maybe some salvians went out into the mountains and never returned. I'm excited to see what kind of stories come from this. Hope everyone enjoyed!

Linda laid on the mountain, with her left arm broken along with her right leg. She saw her love, Archrim die in front of her eyes by the frost witch mother, who offered her to be one of them few moments before. She shot 2 of her daughters with arrows from her bow, but now she lays, due to the ice launched at her. She was about to be killed by the traitor among the people of Salvus, but then the mother yells at him. She decides to do the honors herself, consumed by the grief and rage from the death of her first born. She raises her ice sword, then cuts the neck of Linda... her last words, being: "Archrim... may we be together again..."

August tends to his wounds. He dusts the snowflakes off from his belongings, and soaks his blood-soaked clothing in water. If only he had something..

If only..

(( I thoroughly enjoyed the event. I hope everyone had fun! ))

A witch in long blue robes, face obscured by a hood, carries a prone body and lays it gently in a snow-drift beneath the ancient stone arches. Hot blood spatters her clothing, steaming faintly in the cold air. The witch extends her gray hands and the snow moves to cover the body in a soft layer of white. Her hands clench into trembling fists, and the snow hardens, forming a flawless tomb of opaque ice above the pale gray corpse. Gabrielle lowers her head as she stands before the crude grave of her first-born, the coven's only casualty in the slaughter. As the night falls, a faint blue glow shines from her hood, clouded as damp flecks of ice fill her eyes.

"I missed this."

Relgard says with a grin, pulling his coat close to him as he stands among the witches. He felt a faint disappointment as he scanned the faces of the women, and found his old friend absent, yet he had a feeling he'd make a few more to come.

With the bleeding head of a salvian, and the broken helmet of another weighing down his bags, he made his way home, whistling a cheery tune all the way.

Arn comments, when 'rumours' of frost-witch activity surface, as the corpses and bones of a battle are usually a tell-tale sign of somethiing going on.

"I hope they didn't hurt.. what was her  name.. Jasmine?"

An hour passed, and Roopak stood from his chair, and packed his things, and set off for the mountains in a desperate effort to find the lost Salvians.
