An enemy most unholy!

It is a quiet day within the kharajyr village of Karak’Vylthawl. Many of the citizens work towards raising the walls for the coming wars whilst others attend to the young kittens. The sound of hammers smashing away at stone, the playful growls of kittens and the chatter amongst the kharajyr is all that can be heard within the village. Though this peaceful serenity was short-lived. Ju’Mukar stood atop the temples flight of stairs, an ancient Va’Khajrian warhorn in hand. With a short blow into the horn, the kharajyr ceased their actions and hurriedly rushed over to the temple, kittens in arm, pickaxes slung over shoulders. Tlatlanni Rameethar stood by his side. Ju’Mukar looked upon the group before speaking up to the gathered crowd.

“Kharajyr! Mukar brings disturbing news. Quite recently Ju’Mukar and Ja’Yim saw upon an ape in the cells of the Caliphate. Though this was no ordinary ape for a voice soon followed her, whispering to the gathered priests. This voice was a source of something most unholy! For the voice claimed that Metztli has been slain!”

He bellows as he looks upon the gathered kharajyr. With a swift raise of his paw, a eruption of blue fire swirls about above.

“Through much searching and questioning of many people the priesthood have some answers as to explain the happenings. We have found out that the most unholy voice comes from the Aeri’Kath! Many of you may not know what the Aeri’Kath is, though it has another name. The Acerbus. Through much exploring of the books of the past and moongazing we have discovered that this is not a new enemy. For they plagued the lands within Athera. Kharajyr, do not be lead astray from the most holy mother! Kharajyr, Mukar asks of you to remain vigilant and to ignore these voices should they speak to you. If you hear these voices you must report them to the priesthood immediately. Also be on the look out for a blood red robed figure, do not let him enter the village! If he is spotted you must report his location to the priesthood.
Metztli guide you.”

Ju’Mukar slowly descends the flight of stairs and into the sacred temple, allowing the gathered kharajyr to discuss the issue amongst themselves.

It is then that the Lord of Endurance uttered the following,

"Let them come, I await their try. I will merely need to eradicate a race of feline foes that numbers ten or less... and it will be justice. Many have tried to destroy us before, and we have swept them aside, their corpses but mangled husks upon the ground.

"The Ascended Order of the Mongoose will burn. The war clerics and violent paladins of Tahariae and Xan will perish under my boot. The kharajyr will be no different.

"I beg them to come, they will get only what they deserve and more."

The Lord's acolytes shiver, watching their authority figure rant.

Za'Kabar watches from the crowd, his hood drawn over his head as he listens to the speech. "Acerbus... Hmm... Za wonders if the Kha' can withstand this new enemy without our Muuna to guide us..." He says as he turns to leave.

Do'yla looks off into the town from the temple, she is prepared to do anything to protect her people, they are her family. She unsheaths her sword and watches it reflect the early morning light. Do'yla would walk down from the temple and out into the docks there she would practice her fighting with Rameethar. She ssat by the water waiting for Rameethar and would pray to Metzli to guide us against these "Acerbus." Metzli would always guide us even if we didn't know about it.

A lean, robed figure would be seen striding across the crenelated tops of the walls, his right hand alight with the silver-blue glow of Moonfire. The figure would call out into the darkness, his fist held high against the encroaching night,

"Red priest awnd eets gawd can cuum! Thee' Kharajyr weel enduur whatever theese voice throws awt theem!"

A tall, dark figure in armored robes nods to his Lord's words, then he turns and begins to walk off, into the shadows, only his rasping breathe heard, until even that is lost within the night.
