Im not certain how people expect something mundane like bandits or pirates work as spontaeous events, if all you ever use is fast travel. Except of course when the staff is involved properly and sets the portal from its usual destination to an unforeseen encounter.. otherwise, it's kind of boring isn't it. Event team made events aren't the only events afterall, but the huge map and fast travel make it hard to prove, perhaps we do need pseudo-metagaming properties in our dynamic map - - - player positions!

On the other hand, I'll whip up some antagonizing-action with some kool kids once I get out of military anyways. (Dec 18th)

Hows it going in Kool Kids Klub?

I would very much enjoy more fantasy, more events, as well as (As zaezae stated) something like a foreign threat. Another nation beyond our realm, perhaps just a few bandit camps set up, and more random events.

 

I had an idea earlier when I was making an ET app. Have a few ET's occasionally fly around the map and give random events. Pack of wolves, bandits (Not your average PVP bandits), and some high-fantasy creatures/groups. I would honestly welcome being met by a few ET bandits along the road.

What is funny is I did just that as an Event Team and, I believe those ET who welcomed the new map can attest, I was one of the most active in this regard. Upon checking the forums, I am choking down giggles seeing that much of what myself and a few ET members tried to do in the beginning of your current map is what is being begged for again. May I say 'tried and true' now?

AenguDaemonic influence should be less blatant in my opinion, I don't mind the Itharel or Clerical Magic, but we need to stop having them descend and make themselves apparent as they've been doing. I prefer a mystery in these creature's goals and what they want accomplished in our more mundane world.

Collapse of all Vailor societies into a dark age followed by rising civilization rp.  Too many connections and OOC friendships, nations are stale as ****, and we have too many chiefs and not enough indians.  Starting over from early bronze age city states or nomad/barbarian tribes would be interesting.

Not sure I agree with the going back to barbarism and tribes, but the whole Nations are Stale, and to many leaders I agree entirely on.

Problem with that idea is that the groups will still stay together in extremely similar nations, but their names will be different. Groups stick together by OOC bonds, IC ones can just be remade with new characters.

Not too sure if anyone else agrees with this but I think lock-picking being properly brought back would provide some good player or even et lead events, such as a heist on the bank in Felsen, or breaking into the Caliphate palace, these might not be server wide events, but it'd provide more rp for the people involved in these things, criminals, guards, shady nobles looking to get their rivals at a disadvantage, etc.
