Mj. 697 Share Posted September 28, 2015 I joined in Athera (xd) so I was wondering what made Anthos so good I hear people talk about how good it was all the time pls elaborate thnx
Dromui 755 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Nothing. Every map has it's faults. That map was just the map people gotta bend Malinor over and make it their ***** the entire map. The best map in my opinion was Elysium. At that time, there were **** tons of active players, but not too many to the point where on a small map, we were breathing down each other's necks all the time. I don't really know. The Anthos map itself was pretty.
zaezae 1098 Share Posted September 28, 2015 When you went into a capitol, there were a ton of people roleplaying and would roleplay with strangers.I think that was literally it.

Overland 349 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Tbh, Anthos and Vailor share similar characteristics in terms of size and to an extent, layout. There was rarely fast travels and the terrain was much more developed. I thought it was an alright map personally but I remember the mass of complaints about it as we were leaving it.
1 1393 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Everyone complains about the map we were on. Personally why I liked that map was the large amount of terraforming down everywhere, unlike this map that is basically mc gen in some places.

LaCabra (Soda) 1519 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Personally I did not like Anthos at all, but Asulon was a freakin dime of a map.
Huh 91 Share Posted September 28, 2015 As with everything there was some good and bad, more of one or the other depending on who you ask. Personally, and this may be accredited to the fact that I was still in my newbie haze, but I found a good deal of role play. I was able to find the hot spots that had four or more people to engage, with little to no unnecessary hassle. As an example, I could walk into Malinor and feel a breeze roll through and hit up random person X without them being all "Johnny Shadowslayer flips his cloak over his shoulder, strolling off briskly 'cause he too cool for his shoes."This is not to discredit any other maps, just my thoughts on Anthos specifically.Have to make sure not to offend anyone...they might throw me to the sharks. The Anthos map itself was pretty.I have to agree that Elysium was an excellent map. However, it's not because there was a shitton of active players (I distinctly remember smaller numbers), it was because the map was compact––you needed less people online to make the map seem alive. Your Favorite Impure 736 Share Posted September 28, 2015 I always enjoyed the terraforming of the map. Whenever I got bored I could go explore some part of the map and find a few ruins here, a nice view there. It had its faults, sure, but every map does (as stated for the umpteenth time). Though, I also enjoyed Elysium, but perhaps the reason why is the server still had its "noob glow".
monkeypoacher 8055 Share Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) Anthos was pretty and there was a lot to explore. It was huge, though, and kind of dysfunctional. The map only really shined in wars and dungeon crawls, in my opinion. Elysium was fun because the community was fun. (The map wasn't particularly good.) There were daily events, and everyone would be actually role-playing, which balanced out the chill feel of the whole temp map. I miss the amount of role-play that we had in 2.5. I distinctly remember not being able to walk past a person without being greeted... Good times. Edited September 28, 2015 by charoodler
