Ker'Nor Reconstruction

"Many opinions were had on the city of Vicec, the former capital of the Mali'ker nation Ker'nor. No matter the sentiment, it was the home of the Dark Elves and in what seemed like an instant it was utterly destroyed by a fury so great that it rivaled the zeal of the great ancestor Khel. An already small nation reduced to nothing but ashes and sorrow by the forces of nature. However, the core of a Dark Elf- of a Mali'ker- is composed of pure perseverance. The ability to pick oneself up in face of the greatest adversity and begrudgingly trudge onward despite all odds. We are a people who have endured many hardships and will face many more before our lives are over. Even now, after such a tremendous setback to our dreams of prosperity we must peer through the grey clouds of smoke and find within ourselves a new vision for the future.

The current Anniler'ir Arzota Des'nox has shown us the beginnings of a new path that we must take. One so graciously gifted to us by our cousin kin of Laureh'lin- The Wood Elves. Through their immeasurable kindness we have been given the opportunity to outperform our pasts so that we may rise up to a status of true prosperity and one day return to our lost home so that it may be reclaimed.

My fellow Mali'ker of Vailor, join us in the lands of Laureh'lin. Bring with you everything or bring with you nothing at all. Your race needs you in any number of capacities and any contribution will go towards forging a nation to be respected by all who behold it. Those who can swing a hammer, fell a tree, plow a field; Those who can manipulate metal, work wood, feed the hungry; Those who can cast a spell, write with elegance or deliver a speech- Join us in the new lands of Ker'nor. If you are of Mali'ker blood you will always be accepted by your home nation, whether it be now when we need you most or later when we are standing proud and tall.

I shall share with all the progress of our nation as it occurs on a yearly to bi-yearly basis. If at all you wish to lend your hand in aid please feel free to make contact with me by any means you desires. A friend now will certainly be remembered for helping our kind at its lowest for generations to come; And as a nation who takes considerable value in remembrance and veneration you can be sure that you are building the foundations to a truly loyal friendship.

Through ancestral footsteps we tread, through struggle we persevered."

- Grimwald DeNurem, Primarch of Ker'nor

((I'll be updating this thread as changes and progress happens in the new Ker'nor location that can be found as you walk to the Wood Elven city along the road. Feel free to PM me with any questions.))

As they approached the alcove in the Laureh'lin walls, the two councilmen looked at each other through sullen but slightly cheerful eyes. They had been moving city supplies for hours, chest after chest loaded onto small boats and sent off to the neighboring shores. All the while they took clear glances at the burning heap that used to be their home, the fields and hills they once walked with their families were now charred black and constantly set ablaze by the rivers of lava that oozed through the landscape like a branching delta.

But the sight in front of them was green and full of life- a clear contrast to the place they were forced to leave behind. Before them they saw potential. A place in which they can create a future for themselves and their many comrades around the world. It would be daunting work for so few able bodied men but in time more would find themselves to this place and the ability of the Mali'ker will grow with each addition.

But before all that, there needs to be something to stage it all from. Grimwald DeNurem brought with him an outline for a tasteful base camp to built on his latest voyage over. Though it wasn't much in line of infrastructure, it was a slice of comfort for those who had come with them. In time it will grow, branching out both above and below the soil until finally forming into the new capital city of Ker'nor and a proper home for the Mali'ker.

The final brick falls into place as the base camp comes to its planned completion. A simple settlement to provide a meeting ground for those who are aiding in the reconstruction of the Ker'nor nation. It also serves as an enclave of tranquility, a place to rest and reflect in between the laborious toils of progress. Completed in the cool shade of Laureh'lin, the currently unnamed new capital of the Dark Elves is the next project to be planned out by the nations architects. Until then, the hard working Mali'ker can enjoy a moment of peace following the catastrophe they had barely escaped from.

Val'Goroth Klaren groans as he pinches the bridge of his nose. In disappointment he mutters to himself, something he does much too often,

"Really, above ground... the new generation never learns... Keep it all underground!"

"It is below ground, rather will be." Arzota would passingly state walking by, "A staging area is needed to excavate. Thus one is made."

"Livin' undahground is great! Ye'll never git a sunburn! Stop bein' a wuss," Thorgran Ireheart would say light heartedly if he heard Mithras scowl!
