Being a GM isn't about being popular and I realized that this last month or so. I won't be returning to the GM team though so I will need a rain-check on my insta-accepted app. Seriously though. 16 minutes was it? Banning people doesn't make you a good GM. 

Up vote this. That's like saying you're a bad chef cause you can't wash dishes, or you're a bad student cause you don't ride the bus. It makes no sense.

If BNK wants to return to the GM team, I'd personally welcome him back with open arms. Few make the mature decision to give their title up when they feel they are more suitable at a different level.

In my opinion you were a great GM, any modreq of mine you answered was handled fairly. Even if I wasn't the one who benefitted from the result. You would remain with the modreq until all issues we handled. You did not rush to close the modreq and move onto the next one. It's a hard thing to do for 170+ people at once.

The number of people you ban has no relation to how well you did your job as a GM. Bans are to keep problem causing players that actively disobey the rules from entering the server. You are forbidding them re-entry into the server, hence "Banish". Great rulers are not determined by the subjects they banished or put to death those are not rulers at all they are tyrants. Great leaders are the ones who served thier people.

You are more than right Skippy. I worded that rather poorly. I meant to say that I regularly  avoided dealing with conflict situations (raids, modreqs regarding delicate situations). Though for my GM buds out there I think Skippy's 8 words of wisdom should be taken to heart. Banning peeps isn't always the correct action, though sometimes necessaru. I think it can be just as beneficial to talk with them instead (Or at least before you ban them). Rules are rules but each and every player is our community. Better to re-educate than to eradicate. (Unless you are impure scum!) #Larihei
