Jorunn's smirk made it obvious he is relieved his people made it through the winter. Many new children were born; all of which are healthy enough to live. Now that the houses have been built, Hiedrik has been sent to the fort to oversee the finishing touches of the fort. With the addition of the children, Jorunn recruited 50 more soldiers, which have replaced the losses at the cave. The coming of Spring has opened doors to multiple chances of a golden age for Jorunn's people. He has plans that Ysgamor himself would be surprised to see in action. With such, Jorunn sent out ten of his best scouts out to the east to hopefully meet up with the Dark Elves again. If any were found, they would escort them to the village to meet with Jorunn. With the coming of the natives, Jorunn can sense war is coming, and he is just waiting for someone to pull the trigger.

Ellmer

As the gates opened, and Hyrd stepped through, with the rest of the expedition, the crowds that had gather around the gate were cheering, as each family member saw the face of a loved one still alive. As Vyzna and his family embraced Hyrd, he embraced them back. Vyzna held Hyrd at arms length, and stared into his son's face, his grin slowly draining as he saw the dismay on his face.

"Hyrd, son, what's wrong? You're back, as is everyone from the expedition. Did something go wrong? Did the Felicians refuse to even listen, or did they turn down any offers of alliance?"

Hyrd shook his head, and lead his father off a little. "Father, the Felicians didn't turn us away... There were no Felicians left. Their entire territory was ravaged. Their buildings destroyed... and the Felicians were strung up like decorations between the ruins. It's not something I'd like to see again."

Vyzna stared into his son's face, hoping this was some twisted humor. After a few moments, he closed his eyes, breathed deeply, and looked to the crowd. It was clear the news had begun to spread, and it would spread like wildfire. There would be no stopping it now. Vyzna cleared his throat.

"People! Listen please. Hear these words, not hushed, and behind closed doors, but from my mouth."

Vyzna would proceed to tell them the story, as his son had told it, and then would ask each soldier who had gone on the expedition to step forward if they had any additional details. By the end, most of the civilians looked like they might be ill. Vyzna cleared his throat once more, to get the chattering crowd before him to quiet down so he could speak.

"I do not know what has caused such destruction among the Felicians, but it needs to be known around the island. I plan to call upon the other natives of this island, to hold council. Such a threat must be made aware of. Our walls are firm, and our warriors strong. We are safe, in our cities, with the knowledge we do, but the others may not be."

The crowd murmurs, and nods. The threat may be great, but knowing it may come was a definite advantage. With his speech over, Vyzna and his family retired to his home.

"Hyrd, I know you have just returned home, but I want someone I trust on this journey. Will you do this for me son?"

Hyrd takes a deep breath, and nods, his eyes filled with determination. "I will, father. I will lead a group to the east, to inform the other natives."

Vyzna nods, pride for his son, glowing in his heart. He reaches behind his neck, and pulls the amulet of Auriel he has worn most of his life, over his head. He gently places the amulet in his son's hand, and grips it firmly.

"This amulet has been in our family for generations. It holds no special magic, but hopefully it will make you feel closer to our ancestors, and to Auriel himself."

Hyrd nods, and puts the amulet around his neck. "I'll wear it with pride, father."

ACTIONS

1. Hyrd, after a few days rest, and preparation, is sent on an expedition (30 Soldiers, armed with both bow and sword) to the east, to attempt to contact the other natives. They are told to not travel during the winter, unless necessary. With luck, either the Atmorans or the Uramer would be willing to put them up for the winter. (http://imgur.com/0AHZYf4)

2. The guards on the walls would be doubled, so as to offer better protection.

3. 15 Adepts would begin practicing their magic, so as to improve, while the other 15 Adepts trained the 20 Apprentices.

4. Attempts would be made to find people with magical talent, and recruit them for magical training. No one would be taken unwillingly.

5. All smiths, harvesters, miners, etc. would continue to work their jobs as normally.

POPULATION Total: 1250; Military: 310; Mages: 50; Adepts: 30; Apprentices: 20
