How about instead of a contest (literally remove the contest) just keep it as rewards for people to join. Like how MMO's and MOBA's do, reference points or what ever.

I'd like to point out that skill tome exp is completely random. You can get from 5000 to 18000 exp from one.

I'm a new dwarf and was given a place to stay as well as some sweet starting items and gear by Chaw. I probably wouldn't have done anything more than walk around if it wasn't for them introducing me to things... So I've gotta thank them for that, I think it was real kind of them to help me out.

When i first went to the orcs _Pok_ helped by telling me the basics and also starting me off with some gear._Pok_  after giving me gear and some basics sent me on errands which gave me a layout of the land.He also let me partake in a war which was my first.To be honest i dont think i'd be alive without _Pok_.
