Free The Hobbits 859 Share Posted March 9, 2016 The Squidlord Arises For centuries the Halflings have been protected by the Spirit of the Harvest and the Pumpkin Lord; their power of prosperity and wealth imbued within the towns they settle in. However, for every good there must be an evil to bring about balance. The Squidlord Arugula is a terrible Daemon who controls the rivers and lakes of the Halflings. Arugula is the Halfling Daemon of the Squid. She can not control water outside of the settlements of Hobbit folk, and therefore her impact is quite minimal. Despite the relatively limited reach of her power; she is not a force to be reckoned with. Arugula is known to control squid and cause droughts and storms throughout the village. She relies on servants to fulfill her tasks and imbues those who sacrifice themselves to her with limitless knowledge and power. Her power is shrouded in rumors and tales dating back to Aegis. Many tales of terrible disaster and misfortune surround her name, some hesitating to even utter it. Her power corrupts the minds of those who receive her gifts and many wonder if they can truly call it a blessing. Those who serve the Squidlord are known as Munchkins, a secluded group of “Halflings” possessing great knowledge of magic and dark arts. They have a sort of omnipresence in the village and maintain an watchful eye over the Halflings, waiting for the day they may return in glory to establish their kingdom. (Munchkins are outlined in other parts of Halfling Lore, and will be later defined in other lore) Arugula has never manifested into a physical form and therefore appears in the form of a squid to the Halflings, her eyes ever watching. Arugula controls giant squid that frequently drag ships down to the salty depths, crew and all. Shrines have frequently appeared in underwater caves throughout Halfling history, the most famous appearing in Lenfarthing many decades ago. With the recent occurrences in Willow Hollow it is rumored that she has returned yet again to wreak havoc among the Halfling people. 8 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also God of the sun, but honestly idk if his lore is canon or just **** that the Kha made up.. bunch of squids attacked us once and got rekted so I assume Absyyl is canon. Well... in roleplay its believed to be a squid lord or some form of squid, hence why most priests (more so with Natayshi!) want to kill one when ever they see one. But Absyyl another name for Iblees. Arugula is really around for giggles and hence I just write lore to try and improve my writing.
