If anything they outmatched us in gear. The fact remains that a small unit of people from your faction are capable of defeating larger numbers of settlement residents. There is nothing more frustrating that finding out you got raided at 4:30 in the morning. Additionally raids on settlements constantly disprupt and attempts at rp and population building. There is nothing more frustrating than being asked by your people 18 times a day when the fighting is going to happen and being unable to tell them. Disbanding a big rally then having to rally again literally 5 minutes later is incredibly irritating as it has massively gouged into drilling time, construction, recruiting ecetera. Also orcs have a massive damage buff but that is a different matter. My primary issue is the general disruption of roleplay in the settlement. Four people is extremely small for a raiding party, and the minimum number should be at least seven or eight. If we really want to see roleplay impact PVP, 1) a training system MUST be implemented, 2) a skill reset must take place. If you really want to see roleplay impact PVP, adding a 'combat' training component to that aforementioned training system, which grants some amount of bonus damage or resistance to damage, could be accomplished. By 2), I do not mean we should necessarily lose all our exp forever, just have it temporarily lost. We are in desperate need of proper prestige ranks for skills (as it stands, Daemonic is demonstrably better than Aengulic in a number of ways, same deal with Aengulic and Legendary). If we actually had them, then once we hit the skill cap, granting all our old exp back would be fine. However, as it stands, A TRAINING SYSTEM WILL NEVER BE IMPLEMENTED. There is an enormous disconnect between the developers/coders and the community, and many of the features we desperately are in need of will never be considered or even pursued. I don't believe training damn near 24/7 in PVP to defend against a faction of people who take part in almost no RP, grinding to get the best of the best of the best gear on the server and play on other PVP servers compulsively lends their hand at 'Improving RP and player experience on the server'. PvP has always been a large factor inside of LotC. nobody seems to remember that... ntm u can totally train boys in rp as well as pvp, I did it with dwarves in 3.0. Please refer to the update Dan gave some time ago regarding a shift in roles and specializations. This management system has been around for quite sometime dating back all the way to January.
