We are excited to announce the arrival of a new tournament!

Information ;

 

• What is it?

 

Race for the Wool is a survival, adventure driven Minecraft mini-game where the ultimate goal is to acquire three wool blocks before the opposing team, whilst in a constant PVP battle with the same. The maps are constructed equally though divided into mirrored lanes, those which do not come in contact with one another ever, throughout the entirety of the matches; Throughout the maps, you will find that there are various resources, chests and dungeons to battle through, providing you with great loot upon their completion, so to aid you in reaching the so-protected, wool blocks!

 

While you attempt to battle the fiercest monsters, solve undesirable puzzles and travel through oceans of problems, you will find that just 16 blocks away, your opponents are doing the same, perhaps even attempting to murder you! Within RFW, a great team spirit must be maintained throughout the entirety of the events; hence why we bring forth this idea, to bring light to a community often disliked and present them with a competition where they truly fit in.

 

Now, this does not mean you cannot participate if you aren’t too great at PVP. Anyone can join, however, due to timezones and the patience of Staff members running this, we can only accept 8 teams into this project’s first run. So, what are you waiting for? Rally up a bunch of your friends and sign up! In order to progress within the tournament, eight teams of 5 will fight for a spot within the semi-finals where the challenges and maps will only become more difficult including not only harder puzzles but stronger opponents; This will continue until we can declare a winner!

 

PS: Fear not, this is not a one-time Event. If you are not able to participate this time, you may have the opportunity to at a later date!

• Dates.

 

After the publication of this announcement, all players whom desire to enter the tournament have one week to submit their Team Applications. Should the team spots not be fully occupied until next Saturday, there will be a lenience in teams that apply after the final date; within the terms that they PM a manager of this event. From the moment this thread is public within the LotC Forums, all players will have exactly two weeks to practice for the competition which will be presented and held on the weekend of the 30th of April and 1st of May, starting at 4PM EST both days. To convert times, I recommend this.

 

• First Submissions: 16th of April.
• Final Submissions: 23rd of April
• Tournament: 30th of April until the 1st of May.

 

 

 

• How to enter?

 

In order to maintain the team selection and organization functioning as it should, the first tournament will have a first-come-first-serve styled entry, since we sadly cannot accept every team that wishes to apply. If you wish to enter the tournament, gather a team of 5 and comment on this thread with the information provided below. Every team will be assigned a colour and a private TS channel within our personal server (ts.lotc.co), as to secure the best communication and safety possible.

 

 

 

• Rules.

 

To further perpetuate a healthy, clean environment within the busy tournament, there are a few rules that must be followed by all present. Should you decide to not abide to these RFW rules and all other community guidelines, punishments will be held out.

 

1. No breaching of the Void-Lane.

2. No exterior items may be brought onto the race.

3. No player is permitted to alter another wool block’s colour in order to gain an advantage.

 

 

 

• Tournament-Side Activities.

 

Whilst the tournament occurs, there will be various activities presented around the main event, for those whom wish for a little fun before, during and after the conclusion the games. Such activities will include:

 

• Team Stalls; - Small stalls where you are able to purchase your favourite team’s merchandise in order to support them fully. These will be separated and indicated by each team’s colour.

• Varied Games; - Quick and simple games run by some of our very own ET, where you have the opportunity to obtain great prizes, play against your friends and get a sneak peek of what RFW truly is.
