Oscar viciously thrust the long and heavy dragonslaying spear in his hand forwards as a lance, his horse galloping quickly. It connected, a man fell from his horse, but the spear rebounded and span from his hand and into the sodden grass. His eyes followed it foolishly and stifled his concentration. Before he could react, something impacted on his torso, and he hit the floor with a squelch of saturated ground and a thud of the impacting armour and bone on the ground.

The voice, or voices sounded like the always comforting tones of a woman's voice. Multiple? He could not tell, there was something wrong with his eyes. He couldn't open his eyes to see. What was the emotion in the voice that met his ears? Worry, anger, sadness, joy? He could not tell. He knew there was something wrong with him that he could barely think, but what was it? What had happened? He wasn't in pain, so surely he was fine, surely. If these thoughts weren't real, were the voices? Or was his mind simply attempting to comfort him in his time of need? He didn't know, but he appreciated it nonetheless. his chest hurt. He grumbled softly, attempting to compose his thoughts.

She remembered their easy conversations and his kindness towards her when he came to visit her while she was sick. The young lady hoped to aid as best she could.
