I've currently got item-renaming and tactical tater drops on my radar right now. :)

 

 

Does this mean the vips with item-renaming currently are going to lose it? And are we going to have to pay every time we want an item renamed?

One thing I'm wondering. I have spend a total of 75 dollar, so that is basically gold vip and halfway to diamond vip, right? Well in the new system it still asks me for 50 dollar to get to diamond vip? Is that a bug, or wha.

I would assume that our V.I.P system was the donation system. Players on LOTC certainly aren't customers. This whole donation business seems quite sketchy, overall when looking at minecraft servers in general.

Are current donors loosing anything and are they required to now use crowns to re-buy their perks? AKA- do the people that have already donated need to do anything or has nothing changed on their end?

Just checked on LOTC, current donors have been 'grandfathered' certain levels of VIP. I would presume that means some of the perks that will apply to different levels of donation (or just the current ones + the replacements for the ones we're losing perhaps) will already be unlocked.

And idk maybe it wouldn't be sustainable but I'd so much prefer a 'donate to support the server' model. This is too... Money grabbey and lame.
