I - Introduction:

Greetings, and welcome to the Willow Times. The newspaper of Willow Hollow. This paper is written and produced by Baldrick Hornwood, for citizens of Willow Hollow and its visitors. All Races and peoples are welcome to read. Do you have a story which you would like to have published? Then do not hesitate to post it in my mailbox, by bird or in person! My Burrow is located by ‘Tibb’s Trail’, next door to the Stables. The same applies to persons who would also like to lend a hand in the creation and production of this paper. If Edition one proves successful, then more content will be available in later editions.

II - Ghouls:

A ghoul was spotted in Willow Hollow by the Tavern. It reportedly had teeth growing from its chest and attempted to attack innocent tavern goers. Bar Keep Kvasir Shortoak, tells the paper that he and other courageous individuals were not intimidated by the Ghoul. The group attacked the Ghoul with shovels, driving it from the village, before it could harm any of the innocent residents. Despite the incident, Kvasir states that The Whining Pumpkin Tavern will remain open for business.

III - Blood:

We advise that all folk remain wary when travelling around Willow Hollow, especially after dark or alone. Many of you may have seen blood on doorsteps or in the street. The pond itself turned to the terrible shade of crimson red, the colour of blood. Upon inspection, Mayor Larry, myself and Kvasir, discovered a cave below that very pond. Inside we found more blood and dismembered bodies, alongside various teeth. It would seem that sightings of blood are increasing, finding it in various different places each Elven Day. The Mayor has begun an investigation and we hope that the issue will soon be resolved… Remain Vigilant!

It is possible that these stories are connected, we fear a ghoul may have taken up residence in our settlement

IV - Disappearances

It was reported to me earlier this week that one: Lilja Acosta, appears to be missing. Lilja is a Female, High Elf. Described as being 6 feet tall, wide and with a pretty face. The paper would be grateful if you can offer any information regarding her whereabouts.

Please Report Missing People to Baldrick!

Rarat Delevoye reads over the newspaper drinking a cup of tea, before his eyes drift down to the section on the ghoul. His face grows confused. "Haven't I heard of a ghoul like that before?" He shrugs, throwing the paper aside as he thought of another good idea to sketch.

Felix picks up a copy of the local news with a cheerful attitude. "We are talkin' abou' a ghoul.. Why don' we talk abou' tha' nas'y elf who bullied the Troll!" He yells at the newspaper as his mood has taken a drastic shift to anger, then throwing it on the muddy ground stomping his fat foot into it causing mud to splatter all around.

Larry hobbled around the village, whistling a peaceful tune as he laid his eyes on the newspaper that sat outside the tavern.

"Wha's this?" he said in confusion,

"'nother newspaper? Soun's like a good read." he stated simply.

As Larry returned to his most favourite chair in the tavern, newspaper in hand, he gave a short sigh as he removed his pipe, filled it with pipeweed before  leaning backwards so he could light it on the fire behind him.

As Larry read he blew smoke rings onto the newspaper the ghoul story catching his eye as he just now remembered he was meant to organize something to deal with it. In classic Larry fashion he said outloud, making sure no one was around,

"Eh, feck i', I'll de i' temorrow."

As he came to the bottom of the newspaper he gave himself a small nod of approval before placing it in the now small fire.

"I liked tha' read, 'e should keep goin'."

With that Larry walked on home, observing the peaceful night sky.

Halder relaxes in his comfortable library, reading a copy of the newspaper. The next day, he slips a sheet of parchment under Master Baldrick's door, inquiring if this is to be a monthly or yearly paper, and if yearly will it always be on ((whichever month aligns with thursday)).
