17th of the Sun’s Smile, 1577

When the Abyss was first formed… there awoke a man, among other men, known as Horus. Horus, like many men in the Abyss, was dead - however, his fellows and he awoke nonetheless as those we have come to know as “undead”. As undead, their minds were retained and they did not look upon the Abyss as a haven, but a madness. They peered into that Void and knew only of the deepest darkness that could culminate within a place made to adhere to mortal law, and were revulsed. While the countless others who stood back up, mindless, decayed and ravenous, roamed within and beyond the Abyss in a fervent search for violence, Horus and his camaraderie chose to stall the great chasm’s advances, and oppose the Old Dark which crawled from its depths.

Alas, the world is cruel and allows no lasting good in Men. So the war they waged eventually destroyed them, when the Lord of Dark rose from the throne at the bottom of his broken domain, and undid that dead legion’s commander. And now… here we are. Once more do dead men rise for the sake of living ones. The sanguine cloth we wear, it is a mark for recognition as much as it is one a mark for respect. Before us, undead were not completely mad. Some rose up from the madness that they were shackled with, and with the intention to preserve a world plagued by the meddling of gods, they defied what could not be defeated, and died a second time for a world that did not want them.

Such is the nature of Men. When they see another whom do not live as they do, they grow sick with every kind of wickedness. When the Legion helps dethrone the tyrants and murder the monsters, the world that will not have them will see the error in their ways… when dead men wake up to save them.

Hail Horus.

Indistinct chatters float from ear to ear whilst the author pens his piece. Among the chittering and bites croaks a low heckler; "Horus? Horus, red knight of Below. Sad."

"Hail Horus"

A rotten corpse, which shows resembles to a female human,

whispers out her loyality, while she shambles up North.

Eath'Lur, an absolutely normal orc with absolutely normal characteristics, which avoids to somewhat alter his shape and akin, not limiting to voice, absolutely normal. He reads the first volume of the ashkeeper records, a remnant watching him at the door, which seems to always say the same thing... weirdly monotomous.

"Horuz..." ponders "Fableh or hiztoreh?"
