A Friendly Skin Duel

Somebody challenged me to a skin-off to see who was the better skinner. I'm not going to say which skin is mine and which skin is theirs and I want all of you to vote in the most unbiased way possible. Give your reasoning for why you voted whichever one you voted for in the comments below! You can't improve if you have no idea what you did wrong.

Top one, easily. Better shading, better detail, better color scheme.

 

But honestly it's just my personal preference. Some people don't like too much shading, some do. The bottom one seems good, but it's just the person's style that I personally can't work with.

First one's tabard isn't too far off in colour from the rest of the skin so it kind-of flows together for me.

 

I have a preference for more vibrant and colourful skins by default, so I'd shoot for two. Only bad thing about that one is the apparent difference in brightness from the "left" to the "right" side, don't like that obvious line in the middle.

I prefer the second one. Yay. Yeah, I just like the shading lighter and it, in my opinion resembles the reference more. But honestly I just like the color scheme better.

I like the second one better because the colours are brighter and the armour is shinier. I also like the more basic shading, but that is my opinion!
