ON RECENT EVENTS, 1583

Issued and Confirmed by His Imperial Excellency, the Archchancellor Leopold of Marna on behalf of the Imperial Anti-Orenian Activities Committee, 1st of Sun’s Smile, 1583.

TO OUR BELOVED SUBJECTS

In recent days, the first of many trials has been conducted upon the Sanoist doctrine leader- mister Bell Sano himself.

Within the trial, the Sanoist leader and ideologue vehemently defended his treasonous ideology to its core principles, often criticising the validity of the court’s griefs (he admitted to all of them) without defending the notion that this ideology indeed breeded rebellion as he merely attempted to change the terminology itself. As such, Mister Bell Sano was found guilty of treason (which is consequently punishable by death) within the trial and was offered a deal before sentencing.

Mister Bell Sano was offered his Imperial Majesty’s mercy in exchange for the names of fellow Sanoists as well as to aid the Imperial Administration in the capture and trial of such ideologues. Mister Sano has decided to revise his doctrine and make it publicly acceptable; however, this does not excuse current believers in this radical doctrine in any aspect.

The remainder of this public notice shall include the reasonings as to why the Imperial Administration has taken action as well as to provide the names of suspected Sanonists.

The Imperial Anti-Orenian Activities Committee, at this point, has deemed it fit to display to the public the taboo portions of this wicked doctrine in order to produce public awareness towards the document and how to avoid it:

“However, do keep in mind, it’s the duty of the people to seize the government should their interest not remain with the common citizen, and recreate it on more representative grounds.”

“Though, that is not to say that if the government carries out an action the people simply dislike, it does not give them the freedom to abolish the currently standing government. Only when it corrodes, and becomes abusive, does one call for revolutionary action.”

*A note for the good reader, though the two tenants look decent on papyrus, the IAAC must remind the reader that this ideology promotes equal rights for races that are non-human within human lands.  Thus, should the Imperial Government act abusive towards other races such as the Uruk menace or that of Warhawkian refugees, it would validate the need for a rebellion as their rights have been “infringed”.

“In a given society, the dominant race may reserve privileges over the other, less populous races, though that doesn’t exempt them from having the same rights as the primary race in a true Sanoist society.”

Furthermore, such a propagation of rebellion spits upon the core principles of the Imperium Quintus as it attempts to challenge the divine right of his Imperial Majesty.

“For any moral citizenry and society, they shall worship a single, unifying Creator or Lord, whatever that may be. As Sanoism isn’t designed specifically for a single nation, the theocratic element can be interchangeable between religious faiths. May it be Canonism, Druidism, or the Gorundyr, any faith may be implemented within the hands of Sanoism.”

*A note for the good reader, such toleration of other, illegal faiths within the Empire is greatly frowned upon and is considered illegal within the Imperial Ten Tables. The Gorundyr faith is one of paganism, and to proclaim it acceptable under any circumstance is morally unacceptable.

One can avoid the temptations of Sanoist doctrine through the study of Imperial Law and Canonist Doctrine. One should state “No!” to Sanoism respectfully and walk away if peddled by one of these schemers. Should the peddler continue his pitch, it is advised to contact a local guard in order to remove the traitor.

It is heavily encouraged that the common Orenian citizen, a citizen of the empire of MAN, understands that the human nation must be for men rather than beasts and that the creator is the one, true, righteous god. Other, acceptable ideologies include that of strict Orenian Traditionalism, Priorism, Canonism and Maltism as all hold a strict devotion to his Imperial Majesty’s will.

It is highly recommended that these suspected Sanoists to come forth peacefully so that proper trials/hearings may be conducted. Those who do not turn themselves over within TWO saint’s days will be hunted and not afforded a trial. Should a Sanoist be unable to turn themselves in physically, they may send a letter to the Committee head informing him of their ailments; however, should one send a letter they have TWO saint’s days following to present themselves before the legion before the same hunting policy applies.

The Committee has also been granted the authority to issue foreign warrants on suspected Sanoists. This is the only warning and extension of his Imperial Majesty’s olive branch.

IN NOMINE DEI,

His Excellency, the Imperial Archchancellor Prince Leopold of House Horen, first Baron of Senntisten and Knight of the Imperium Quintus

Jaxen blinked a few times as he read the Imperial Legislation in his Office within the Palace of Johannesburg curiously murmuring to himself

"What is a Sanonist.." He pursed his lips and swiftly headed off to locate Ser Leopold so he can get his trial underway.

"I don't even know half these people," a lawyer scoffed, casually reading the notice over tea.

Alastair, Lord of Chambery, is shocked as he recieves the court summons. He had barely read the Saonist Manifesto, much less joined the ranks of Bell's radical ideology. His jaw drops, before it closes once again, his teeth gritting and his face reddening as he cries out in genuine outrage, slamming his first on his office desk in 1 Delatour. He roars (mostly to himself/the air around him):

"Dammit Sano! I've never been part of your treasonous movement, nor shall I ever be! Trying to muddle the good name of House VonSchlichten and the service that it has provided to the Empire...? Bah! I'll prove the illegitimacy of your claim once and for all. For my family is innocent, and has nothing to hide!"

After this declaration, he gets up, adjusting his new coat and starts off toward Johannesburg to attend his summons and prove his innocence.
