Harri 4815 Share Posted November 11, 2016 LoStWriWe Evening mates, Quick contest for mid-november, and to honour the already existing competition of NaNoWriMo (check it out right there), I thought we'd have our own version: LoTC Story Writing Week! Basically, you will have a week to write a short story about something LoTC related - this can be a retelling of one of your favourite RP events on this server, it can be an entirely fictional thing set in the LoTC 'universe' or could just be a descriptive piece about some of your favourite areas. As long as it's LoTC related, you're good. Now, there are no themes to pick from, so to say, but if you'd like to share/discuss some good ideas/themes below to help people (and maybe yourself) out, feel free to. The rules to this are as follows: You have one week to write this as of Saturday, 12PM GMT (if you wish to start tonight/today then feel free to, but this is the official time). What you write must be in line with the server's own rule set for typing in game - bar maybe being able to use a bit stronger language. A few 'bad' words here and there are fine. Basically, don't write pornography. You may work with multiple other people, but you will have to split the same reward among yourselves. Plagiarism of any kind will result in not only a straight disqualification, but may also result in a ban. If you wish to submit something 'anonymously', then feel free to PM me on Skype or on the forums. I will be judging stories on detail, structure, length, story, whatever really. Just general enjoyment really. All winners will be posted for people to read (names can be set to anonymous if people wish). Rewards will be as follows: 1st place - 3000 minas and possible aesthetic forum ranks + in game items + in game titles. 2nd place - 2000 minas and possible aesthetic forum ranks + in game items. 3rd place - 1000 minas and possible aesthetic in game items. (I'll probably spruce up the rewards a bit - say what exactly you'll get, probably up the minas if people aren't entering enough etc). Comment below if you're interested in taking part!
