Lawrna 440 Share Posted November 23, 2016 A piece of parchment is pinned to the noticeboard within the walls of Haelun’or. Those living in the Silver City for longer would recognise the careful and precise scripture of Lelien Synalli from many of the books within the Eternal Library. The text reads thusly: Dearest people of Haelun’or, Uncertainty and wonderment besets me as I ponder our species’ future and revel over the announcement I’ll duly make. Considering the unsavoury nature and threatenance of the Urthir’s fashion sense to our way of life. Complete with a crown akin to a tyrannical valah monarch, we see who he will be. Another Mali blind to the pitfalls their harmful mindset imposes upon the rest of us Mali’aheral. To he, I gift gold. Naturally held deep fear for the pure among us, I prepared to select a new Maheral. No candidate proved they'd stray from the ignorant perception of our culture the Urthir influences. Except one. The wildcard. A last ditch shot at maintaining what we stand for in a time of unrelenting impurity. My chosen successor, Lyu Elibar’acal. My faith in him runs deep and I wish him all of luck. liewyn'Larihei eltaeleh walehe ohn vallein eltaliyna walehe maehr’sae hiylun’ehya The statement is followed by a small scribble of a rose Lelien Synalli Once the parchment is on display, Lelien Synalli cannot be found within the confines of Haelun'or; vanished. Will (TauFirewarrior) 2466 Share Posted November 23, 2016 "Well I wanted to wear a circlet, but I was given a crown by the tailor..." Orsino would comment, taking his gift of gold to the local 'Mina for Gold' exchange so that he may buy some more silver
WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted November 23, 2016 "Old habits die hard... the mali'aheral don't seem to realize they don't really have a choice in the matter, the Uthir is appointed by the Emperor of Oren, their sovereign ruler. The last attempt to govern what the Empire sees as an inherently troublesome, rebellious state, as opposed to destroying it. The Uthir is the only thing standing between Haelun'or and complete annhilation. The mali'thilln may depose of Orsino, but everything they know and love would soon follow." Artimec said in any setting it would contextually make sense for him to say it in, after being told about the letter. "Democracy is a failed system of government, in any case." Daisy 9739 Share Posted November 23, 2016 *Avern wonders why and how Art formulates this complex and jab-full replie to a simple parchment pinned in Haelun'or, he never visits. She also contemplates how Art can interpret a simple ceremonial cultural appointment as some sort of statement against our dear Orsino. She also wonders if he realizes that this wasn't even democratic, and never has been. She then write down these thoughts in a book.*

Not everyone has a crown, y'know."
The King Of The Moon 7016 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Valmir reads the news, ascending back to his residence in the Upper District with a mein of blatant shock, processing what had just occurred. Once within his confines and well nourished with a questionalibly green tea, he'd be hit by an array ignoring juxtaposing emotions: relief at his excusal from having to take the position himself, grief for the future of his people at the hands of the Elf who wears glasses 'just for fashion', sympathy for Orsino and the coming instability for his government... though also, despite this twist of events, humour. Coupled in fact, with an admiration for his mother's radical decisiveness. Genuine laughter begins to flood from the Elf as the effects of his cactus brew take their effect. The boy, son of the former Maheral of Haelun'or and the current Knight Enchanter of Orenia simply raises his cup in an ironic toast to an empty room. A player on an empty stage, louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny: "In loving memory of Haelun'or, may she rest in peace."
Stag 3234 Share Posted November 23, 2016 "Is this like that time that I appointed Laethis? Yes. This seems to be like that time that I appointed Laethis. How unfortunate that this is what Lelien thought was required. It may have been back then but growth occurred as planned. This- This is foolish." Iatrilemar gives a few hearty laughs before his brow sulks inwards. "Had I desire to play games I would raise my proclamation." He begins to flip through a tome in his hands, and speaks to his daughter "This however-" he stops on a page before lifting his gaze "-shall keep me entertained for only a short while." Before long a missive is sent out ~ Should I find Lyu Elibar'acal as unfit a Maheral as I suppose he will be do not call alarm when the Lynx takes his stride once more. Games may be fun, mali'aheral, but insolence will not be tolerated. ~ - Iatrilemar Elervathar

Halsi 381 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Spoiler Iaria Elervathar dropped silent after thoroughly reading through the prominent notice somewhere in the city she resides. It was uncertain whether her reaction was one of vexed intentions - Although the boiling rage in her face that started to arise had simultaneously gotten evident so quickly after. She aims to proceed forth and away from the notice, yet the irking announcement from moments before had prevailed her from leaving. "Lelien allowed a volatile Mali'ata to ascend and takes the illustrious title that he does not deserve.. Being a cultivated mali of the Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya does not necessarily mean that he practices our sacred belief. A traitor amidst our kin, yet somehow elevated to this title of prestige." The youth's incompatible and eloquent speech possessed a bitter tint of apparent resentment. It took not long for her to complain again, albeit it was for granted that her rambling elocution wouldn't cease throughout the acrimony she currently lived in. "Elcihi'thilln will be tarnished to the core." For days, the young librarian hasn't made her regular appearance in the public anymore. Perhaps she hid out of fright for the agonizing results that this succession of incertitude dragged along, or maybe she merely refused to encounter these revolting sights where she was unprepared for. It was a mystery, yet Iaria Elervathar was inexplicably absent from the exuberant city of Haelun'or.
GDPR 014 48 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Avenel, upon hearing word of the proclamation, looking at his wife from across the table. "You absolute mad woman!" He chuckles, "Well, that's a good way to retire, eh?" Three arcane constructs pass by, willing to slay any assassins. "Though in truth." Avenel points his pipe to Lelien, "You could have made a better choice, but-" He shrugs, "Not my concern. I serve and live in Oren for a reason."
