no they don't; we may count each person as 100 people to make the numbers in the warclaim rp posts look nice but that doesn't mean that 1 rper counts as 100 people for any practical pvrpose - in fact id say 1 person counts for less than 1 person because they don't spend 24 hours a day rping

welcome to orc rp. this is not a new phenomenon, this is what orc roleplay is like most of the time even when oren isn't trying to capture your settlement. people have made jokes about how inactive the orcs are and how nonexistent orcish domestic rp is for most of the server's existence. really, the only time I can remember that the orcs were consistently active and did more rp than just punching each other was in the opening days of the server in aegis (5 years ago) and in the anthos golden age (3 years ago)

 

i know you never got to experience those periods, but the rp you're experiencing right now is standard orc rp. as I said, welcome to lotc, expect to be disappointed for your entire stay.

 

P.S. - oh and by the way, orc rp is actually usually even MORE stagnant when there isn't a war going on. the only thing people like doing is fighting so when there's no fighting no one logs on AT ALL (this is true in oren too to a slightly lesser extent)

 

oh I definitely agree; oren winning warclaims without much effort is extremely boring and unfun both for the conquerors and the conquerees. lotc is in a particularly bad state right now because, as I said earlier in the thread, oren has basically won the server. there was one time long ago when oren didn't easily stomp everyone but those days have come and gone and its been multiple ooc years since oren had its last challenge

Yes, that is where the war claims started, when Vege's group and Oren clashed and destroyed the server.

its pretty aggravating being in my shoes; i am neither a part of the oren nor the anti-oren crowd. both side says basically the same things about each other and both sides are pretty ******* dumb

True, but you could attribute that to people sleeping, eating, coming down with horrible diseases, you know the unplayed side of rp.

no, see, there isn't any blame to be placed

 

oren's actions are all entirely reasonable based on the situation that has been presented to oren. the problem is that the reasonable action results in the destruction of the useless wastes of space that are the combat groups who's sole pvrpose in life is to fight oren. the problem is that lotc has no enjoyable rp except fighting so everyone just fights forever. oren has won the server because all the good rpers have quit the server and oren happened to be the strongest nation when everyone left.

remember; the easiest way to alleviate stress is to avoid stressful activities.

 

i suggest picking up a hobby like hiking in the woods or something it's a much more fulfilling and enjoyable time than getting killed on lotc by oreners

they'll just reform and win through bodies again

 

even if we do a lore wipe the oreners can just get back together (though I actually doubt they will do this I expect a lore wipe would cause people to do something new; though obviously they won't join forces with their former hated enemies)

 

there's really no hope for the server getting any better lol. better pray a lot of people suddenly find lotc, join it, and have a lot of cool ideas that make rp interesting again. this is almost certainly not going to happen so don't get your hopes up and either accept lotc for what it is or don't waste your time with it
