as a general rule of thumb, if a society is pre-industrial it can't levy more than 8% of its population to fight, max

1) Some women (a lot) were actually killed at birth, for being women (horrible). They couldn't but they did, therefore many people when hungry (not in LotC where insta-bread exists)

not being rude, that wasn't an insult, I'm just pointing out an inconsistency in your story. according to your application and profile you're thirteen years old yet claim you've studied medieval history "for over 10 years." pretty sure 3 year olds can't read or study history so your story doesn't really add up :/

I'm sorry I was like a week from my birth day when I signed up, so yes over 10 years, I am also something called "smart" (uncivil)

I'm sorry I'm going to step in here. You're obviously very new to the server and jumped on the hype train. You are defining good RP'ers as those who have arguably antagonised Oren to the point OOC'ly where they become venomous pvp'ers and do not appreciate anything but removing the current system in Oren. Good roleplayers don't whine or go 'oren is killing us waaaa', good roleplayers deal with what's presented to them. Guess what, LotC is a story, not a personal logbook of your character always winning. The key to dynamic roleplay is for everyone to deal with the consequences, pulling out ridiculous statistics and saying why Oren "shouldn't" be top literally degrades your argument for Good RP.

 

Human Culture is honestly the most vast on the server, it's the most developed over the 5 years this server has ran its course. It has been moulded by every experience and to argue that its lesser than any other because they're winning and have more numbers is disgusting.

I mean, I'm not complaining particularly at the fact that they rule the server, that's fine and I expect at least one faction to come out on top. My problem is the way that they want to purge a lot of races - one of which I play, an orc. Regardless, they seem to be wanting to root out much smaller playerbases, and although I agree that orcs have indeed had some past with Oren regarding slave hunting, I don't see the point in continuing to warclaim them. When was the last time an orc from the main city has taken a slave from Oren & Friends Ltd?

Admittedly, I've not been on the server for very long, but of the time I have been on, I can tell you, that by this point, they sort of have. Right now, it seems they're just consolidating power. A bit like Hitler did. (Curse you, Godwin's Law!)

I'd appreciate any feedback from Oreners on this. Enlighten me, if you will, so I won't have to type out posts like this in the future. Cheers!

Honestly those were answers to number 3, but they still stood so I left them, and I have heard both sides of the story, they aren't going "oren is killing us waaaa" they are going "we are being crushed to death over a matter of months, rp'ly and ooc'ly, please help us"

 

Yes partially is, but it is reality, the humans have turned from roleplay to reinactment, God is a holy being and the only god, and everyone else shall die!

here's the problem with orcs; orcs hate oren and oren knows this (also oren hates orcs), and they think (accurately) that orcs are scary fighters and they love fighting and that they WILL fight oren at some point in the future, so oren came to the logical conclusion in RP that allowing the orcs to set up a city and get populated and fortified is an incredibly stupid strategic move and that they should try to exterminate them while they have the chance. humans and orcs have fought each other reliably for 5 irl years at this point; the conflict has been on and off for in game centuries. why is any orc so surprised that people want to fight them when the orcish interactions with the other nations and races rarely if ever consists of more than "tribute or flat"

 

personally i think orcs are a really stupid race to have as a standard playable race in a fantasy rp setting but it's a bit late to change that now

Nobody is that century was that smart! They would have though two feet in front of their face and said "their mean!" and ran away/ left them alone.
