The Lich and the Eagle

It was only ten o'clock, when Baron Constantine Palaiologos visited Ostwick to inspect his troops, however they were away on a scouting mission. A few minutes later a woman knocked on the doors of Ostwick, Constantine opened the door, and it is then when he saw a woman in terror, screaming; "A lich is assaulting Nicea, it is killing people!" Lord Palaiologos quickly rode his loyal horse and without any further ado, he began to find the lich and defend his people. When he arrived, he saw a dark skeleton figure spreading fear and death upon the villagers, some of them managed to go to Metz while others were unable because the lich gave them some heavy blows and killed them or left them unconscious on the ground. Without a second thought, Lord Constantine ran to his keep in order to get his sword of aurum and assault the lich.

When he finally reached the lich's location, an epic duel between Lord Palaiologos and the lich took place, with the Baron decisively beating the lich, it ran to the woods with many wounds. Signs of the lich's arrival have been hanged all over across Lorraine;

 

"Citizens of Lorraine, never travel alone until the beast is driven away from our land or even killed, if there are any brave men who wish to slay the lich, if they manage to do so, those who have done it will be rewarded by the Baron Constantinos Palaiologos. Beware and stay safe"

Constantine rubs the chin of his helmet in thought before putting his quill to parchment and penning a short letter to Baron Palaiologos. It reads: "We've been experiencing some severe undead problems over here near Geldorcraft. It may be related. We'll keep our eyes out for that lich. -Constantine."
