I watch a lot of anime. Actually about even to normal shows which is also a lot. I dislike hypersexualized females in anime (mainly because you don't normally see men that sexualized except for in a couple animes) so here is my list. The more plus marks (+) means the more sexualized at least 1 character is in it. Some of these are great and I will bold them in orange. Some I would never recommend but they are here anyways. I will put those in red. Watch if you wish. Ones in purple are anime that aren't likely to continue and so their stories just end which is sad because they are usually the ones I like.

 

Sword Art Online +  ( A staple  fantasy adventure anime )
Fate Zero/Fate Stay-Night  ( If you like high action with a lot of fighting watch this for sure )

Familia Myth + ( Adventure anime )
Star Driver ++  ( I enjoy this light-hearted romance. Though the fighting is a different take on mechs and is weird at times )
High School of the Dead +++++ ( Awesome battle sequences which are completely ruined by the oversexualization of every female. Skip the bathing episode at all costs dude )
God Eater + ( Great visuals that differ from normal anime. Apocalypse setting )
Gurren Lagaan +   ( A mech anime. Sure. But one of the best anime out there )
K Project + ( This anime is pretty gay at times and I need that in my life. Absolutely awesome visuals and a confusing but interesting story. One of my personal favorites )
Btoom +++++ ( Just. Idk. This anime gave me the creeps. I don't like the writing. The sexual abuse, etc... Neat idea I guess. I would avoid it )
Noragami ( If you haven't seen Noragami you should. I love eastern religion and this one has a great twist off of it. The second season is intense asf )
Blood Blockade ( Confusing story but was a fun watch. It is pretty funny but I don't think it is going to get a second season. Maybe a movie? )
Psycho Pass 1&2 ( If you enjoy phycological thrillers this is a must. It is set in the future instead of a fantasy realm. 
Devil is a part timer + ( I loved this anime but it ends without any hope of returning for another season. I would still watch it though )
Brotherhood Full Metal Alchemist ( If you haven't seen this anime. GO WATCH IT. Seriously. Just go )
DeadMan Wonderland + ( Another anime that I thought was pretty cool but isn't likely to continue : ( )
Tower of Druaga 1&2 ( This is an adventure/fantasy anime similar to Sword Art Online. Hero takes on the villain, yada yada. Not the top of my list but it is enjoyable to watch. A bit confusing at times but the characters are fun. I enjoyed the dubbed version )
7 Deadly Sins + ( So Netflix teased us with a second season that was actually an OVA. A second season is coming out and I urge you to binge what is out already before season 2 arrives. Honestly this anime is just great despite any oversexualization. Out of the majority of anime that does it this one seems to do it as satire. I dig it. Adventure/fantasy. Dragon Ball Z combat style )
Parasyte ( What to say about this anime. It's a horror anime for one. The art style is impecible. About creatures that mimic humans and then eat them. If you like scary **** watch it NOW )
One Punch Man ( I like this anime. I think its pretty great in that it exists in its own little comical universe. A great anime if you aren't normally a person who enjoys them )
Tokyo Ghoul ( Another thriller that perhaps takes things such as torture and blood/gore too far. Not for the squemish but if you enjoy animes in which people all have similar but different powers and people hunting them. Take a look )
Log Horizon + ( Its just a fun anime to watch. It has boring episodes but is set in a theme similar to SAO. )
Attack on Titan ( If you enjoy horror anime and haven't heard of this put your pencil down. Idk why you need a pencil to type anyways. Go watch it. Season 2 is literally about to start )
Fairy Tail + ( This anime is LONG. Same type of deal as DBZ or Naruto in that it just keeps going. It is fun to watch but I stopped eventually when the english dubs stopped. I might pick it back up if they continued with the same voice actors )
World Trigger ( Similar to log horizon in style. A bit boring at times but full of fights and inspirational powers in case you ever feel the need to make your RP more edgy/anime-like )
Grimgar + ( Honestly I am going to be sad if a second season doesn't come out. It is done in a watercolor style & similar univserse to SAO with amazing fight scenes and character development. I like it a lot )
Overlord ( I don't know what to make of this anime. It was good but so strange. Also similar to SAO but you follow a "villain" this time )
Magi 1&2&3 + ( Another staple fantasy anime. It can be corny at times but I think it is worth the watch )
Ajin ( Done in a unique style like Godeater that is a bit offputting. I have enjoyed watching it though. It is a fucked up lowkey thriller )
No Game No life +++ ( So while this anime is neat there is just something wrong about the dynamics between brother and sister. I dislike that aspect of it and couldn't get past it. If you can give it a watch )
Owari No Seraph ( I hope this anime continues only in that I am not sure how I feel about it yet. Vampire anime but not really. I'd look up a youtube video and see what you think. Waiting on season 3 )
No.06 ( Hi. As a gay male I find it hard to find characters in animes that represent me. This anime does an okay job at it. Not really a romance anime but its there under the scifi storyline. Enjoyable to all )
Beyond the Boundary + ( The main characters are cute but the storyline is a bit muddled. A mix between slice of life and action drama )
Dimension W + ( This anime is pretty dope in its action sequences. I am sure another season is coming out but you never know. Its about a samuarai who doesn't use electronic weapons in world full of them )
Blast of Tempest ( Nothing special about this anime. Enjoyable but not excessively so. The story ends within the season so there is that )
Blue Exorcist ( Season 2 is about to be done. I love this anime and season 2 has made me even more of a fan. Son of Satan? Edgy? Sign me up )
My Hero Academia ( I am waiting on the next season to see how I feel about this anime. It hasn't reached its "core" yet but it is set up like a naruto type anime in that its likely to be long. About superheroes in training )
Guilty Crown + ( Praised for its soundtrack. If you enjoy the first half then you will get hooked for the second half. It has a definitive ending and the complex story is mezmorizing. A must see )
Morbito ( Female protagonist and a well-rounded story from start to finish. I was hesitant at first and it is a bit slow at times but its pretty great )
Mushi-shi 1&2 ( This is the "supernatural" show of anime except its so mellow and inviting that I find myself rewatching its episodes. Definitely one of the best crafted animes out there. About supernatural things and eastern religion )
Rage of Bahamut ( Its neat but not excessively so. Hard to classify but the art style is great and the animation fluid. Needs another season to come out but idk if it will )
The Sacred Blacksmith + ( I couldn't stay interested in it but there are parts which I thought were kickass. Female protagonist. Adventure/action/fantasy )
Black Bullet  ++++ ( Its okay and the fighting and story are pretty good. Apocalypse setting. BUT brother/sister type **** again. I cannot deal )
Lord Marksmen and Vanadis +++ ( EVERYONE IS HORNY. IDK MAN. Some good parts and some not so good parts. Harem in fantasy universe. This guy is literally conquering chics )
Garo ( Not sure if the second series was any good as I didn't watch but the first Garo series is awesome. Demon hunters and terrible dads but then again what it offers can be found in better anime imo )
Bungo Stray Dogs 1&2 + ( Despite the weird **** that goes on in it I enjoy it. Maybe its cuz the main characters are totes gay for each other idk mayn but I like it )
Yuri on Ice + ( If you have ever wondered what a gay romance anime about male figure skaters looks like look no further. It oversexualizes men. That's a first besides Free! and the story isn't half-bad. Idk how non-gay audiences will recieve it but my straight friends seemed to enjoy it as well )
Kiznaiver+ (there is a weird guy in it. Each character is connected by pain and each represents a deadly sin in personality. Story happens in a single season and was a nice watch with me and my crew. A prequel is coming out I believe )
Chain Chronicle Ch. 1 ( So I think this is the first part of a movie based on a game. Idk but it was good quality. I felt a bit lost due to lack of context but enjoyed watching it nonetheless )
Free! ++ ( Like Yuri On Ice this anime features homoeroticism though its not because its a love story. It is literally an anime about swimmer boys made for females and gay dudes as fanservice. Watch at your own risk. The story is pretty good nonetheless )
Drifters ( Very bloody Very gorey. War & tactics all around. Prominent historical figures are pulled into a fantasy universe and basically have a constant world war with each other. )
Occultic;nine+ ( Just finished this one. One female character swings her boobs around and for some reason its funny in this anime. Idk. The story is pretty neat. A bit slow at first but the second half goes hyperspeed. Some freaky spooky parts but its story is just a tad  confusing to follow. Like you are given way too much information and the characters all talk at once )

 

 

So here is my list. I didn't watch anime till I moved in with my roommates 4 years ago & now I watch too much. I look for animes that have nice/modern art styles and storylines to match. I tend to avoid mecha animes/historical drama and animes in which the only plot point is that its a harem and all the characters want to bang. Unavoidable with anime sometimes but good ones are out there. I didn't put animes such as pokemon or avatar on here cuz you most likely know about them. Watch pokemon if you are nastalgic. If you haven't seen Avatar GTFO. GOOD LUCK

I am hopeful man. So hopeful that I decided to try reading the books. I do think it will get another season but because of the style of art and perhaps having to wait for more content it will be at least a couple more years.

 

 

EDIT: Articles from a month ago say that its gained popularity and that a second season is likely  to happen. We just don't know when. Just did a bit of reading.
