You often can't just get onto a staff team by tossing up an app. You usually need some sort of connection into the team or reference from an existing team member to be considered over other candidates. Hence why many staff teams are riddled with their own cliques.

Well to say Its not that simple because people are considered over you isn't much of a reason, if you want it and you perform to the best of your ability, there is no reason you couldn't get onto the team. I appreciate that sometimes it helps to know people but it can be easily done without.

But in all honesty, this would probably be for the best of the community, as much as I agree that if you want events, get someone in your race to become an ET. If I'm honest, the only real reason I haven't applied to become ET is because both characters that I have mean a good deal to me, but to anybody in the smaller player groups who has a spare slot, you should definitely consider making an app. Saying that, if the existing ETs gave other races some lovin', I wouldn't complain.

What you propose is uprooting staff members and forcing them to play characters they don't want to play in playerbases they don't want to play in. Staff members are players too. Forcing them to change their rp is pretty dumb.

 

Speaking from personal experience, when a couple of GM's joined my playerbase, it felt less like spreading out the staff and more like a occupation force. Even though this wasn't a staff-mandated change, it still felt like they were sent to babysit us instead of just players joining a new rp group (though after I got to know them I discovered that was not the case). I know of many other players who would feel the same way in the same situation, especially considering it would be staff-mandated.

You honestly can't read unless I can't read either. This is a challenge, not trying to force someone. Why do u think I'll let them perma ban if they'll try.

The people who blindly praise and protect staff like this is the reason we have what we have now.

This server is the biggest ***** house when it comes to being GM. Saying that there is a shortage of applicants is absolutely ridiculous. You have people changing their entire demeanor around staff just so that they can be buddy buddy and have a chance at getting the infamous blue tag.

Just a clarification on the part on persona slots, when you become an ET the pex that go with it give you one or two additional slots (I forget which it is) that you can use for events. You shouldn't have to worry about giving up one of your characters to be an ET.

 

Also yes we are looking for more apps. Make those apps!
