So yeah, this is a thing we're doing again.

 

Post below if you have any specific questions you want answered. We'll make sure we answer any questions asked on this thread but if you don't post you can still ask questions after the ones on the thread have been addressed. 

 

The meeting will be held on June 3rd at 4:00 pm EST on the LotC Teamspeak, ts.LotC.co. The meeting will be recorded and notes will be taken so if you can't make it don't fret.

When will fishing be made not-garbage?

 

Can we get a genuine magic system instead of a series of staffs added to crafting? And by this, I mean guild-locked magic. It's pretty obvious the only way for RP to enter combat will be through guild-locked magic, or RP-locked magic in general, that has PVP use.

Why do I keep getting hunted?

 

Could there be a way to perhaps create a system of sorts where regular players could purchase or be granted a small amount of PEX in order to do minor events on the server smoothly?  And, you know, maybe not have it deal with discord

Are the staff going to implement the idea of blessing/enchanting items with special RP powers for minas? I heard that as a rumor somewhere but I've never seen anything from the actual staff about it. Which is a shame, it's neat. Just curious

Honestly will this one even be recorded and then publicized? The past community meeting wasn't recorded and if it was, it didn't become publicized. There were questions I would like to see the answers to, however because I was unable to attend I am unable to see the answers to them, and it would be quite ridiculous of me to repeat said questions because I can only assume the answers will be along the lines of 'this question was answered last time.'. Can you please look into this and tell us if it was recorded, and if it was can you publicize it? As reference, https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/158156-april-7th-community-meeting-tslotcco/ that is the one I am refering to, however if you do not have a recording the summary of questions I am most interested in are as follows.

 

• Updates on the new map? Has constriction began? Ideas underway? can we get an idea of theme or size?
   
• What projects do you currently have, or planning to have concerning or revolving around player retention?
   
• Aviary plug in, is anything going to address this issue whilst the plugin is in the works perhaps?
   
• Will we ever see what exactly our donations are being spent on? As of lately the server has been acting up, and not exactly having the feeling that it is 'top of the line'.
   
• When will donations have worthwhile perks? You can argue that donations are to help the server and that alone till the cows come home but you cannot argue against a person's want to get something in return, consumirism.
   
• Is there an ETA on the new map? It's no secret that one is in the works, whether it is still at the document stage or further down, simply wishing for some transparency.

 

The have additional questions for this upcoming one which are.

• Will the magic plugin that is implimented with the professions going to be officilized as OOC only? The wiki says it, but a more public announcement thread should be made.
   
• Regions, tiles, primary region owner, etc. All points of contention, however I truly believe it can be fixed for the better, it's just how is the difficult thing. Are staff looking into this? And if so, how high up on the priority list is it?
   
• Finally, what exactly is the priority list the staff have? Like, what is in the works from administration and game moderation? As in, are advertisements being a thing on this list of priorities, or is plugin work higher, etc.

Why don't you make the quality of leatherworking armors based on skill lvl like iron armors for blacksmith?

Is there any progress with a new map and if so is there an estimated release date?

 

Would you consider stricter settlement caps on another map? To avoid the dilution of activity?

 

Has there been any development concerning a more global plot within Axios or is this likely something to be reserved until another map is released?

 

Are the ET and the combined LT/MT working to revamp the way in which events are used to engage the community?

 

Has player retention yet been improved?

 

Has the AT managed to implement the buddying system, of sorts, in a functional fashion? What projects have been completed by the managers recently?

 

Why do I only ever hear people complaining about the staff teams despite all the mass purges? Am I being pounded with biased voices or are things still not at a satisfactory standard?

 

Where is all the RP these days? Like, seriously, where are you all? I can never find anyone and no one will help. Please. I've only been gone two months.

Will there be more 'balancing' of certain skills? Not long ago Lumberjack got hugely nerved in my point of view because of the CT prices for the wood and branches being lowered. In my opinion this was nerved too much, also other skills like Fisher or Woodworker should be made more useful. I'm pretty sure more people would like to see things balanced out a little better, so will this be looked into?

After going on an exploration trip through half of Tahn and seeing so many dead settlements, could it be possible for there to be ruins that people can explore and find things in? And it could possibly have ET that run the ruins

I'm still a bit lost on how a Half-Elf should properly look and how the curses effect them. ;-;
