April 7th on the LotC Teamspeak at 5 EST

 

Hello!

We'll be having our second community meeting of the year. The point of the meeting is to address the concerns of the players, and clear some issues up with other teams. Ask questions in the comments, and we'll answer them at the meeting! These questions give us a general idea of what we need to talk about at the meeting, and gives us material to prepare with. I'll be accepting questions until the 6th.

 

We’ll be allowing any impromptu questions at the end if there is enough time.

When will the Ts.Lotc.Co Ip actually work? Seeming currently, you crash all the time as me and Lady Rebecca found out.

When will Tythus show the amount the server brings in through donations and private donations made by Scene21 compared to costs, nothing edited?

Why were two admins added to the team instead of one? Seeming Tythus counts as an admin and now we have six, allowing for a tie on votes.

When will the Mentors be added back?

What do you think of Condensing Nations and limiting the number of keeps? The GMs tried this at the start of the map and failed to do it all the way through.

When will female dwarves be a thing?

Why was priceflash unbanned yet Charles the bald was not unbanned?

When will the twitter section of the forums be removed?

When will I become LOTC's lawyer? 

Who let the staff positions regress to the point that most teams are in states of constant bickering and if they are nit at that point, they are a circle jerk. Who let this occur?

Since when has the staff team become a popularity contest?

Also to my question.

 

The infamous magic plugin was discussed in the OOC chat a few days ago with "primitives" perhaps we could have something like this? I'll go into explanation below.

 

Having a base plugin for mages to use which consist of 3 spells at most (currently) for the group of magic being easy and reusable code. Which are basic spells to give to people. 

 

Merge, Mental Magic, Illusion, WitchDoctor and Soul Puppetry together in the plugin. You already have representatives of this with Dsdevil's drug scenario plugin. Which all that needs to be coded are different variables to suit. Though WitchDoctor and Soul Puppetry can be the same. 

 

Fire Evocation - Fire Ball. Fire Nova.

Water - Water ball? . Ice walk.

Earth - Evoker snap ability.

. Rock armor.

Air - Pushback / throw up spell.

Arcane - Portal blocks protected by barrier blocks (So no one enters) to act as a barrier. Shoot a enderpearl bullet.

Conjuration - Summon an iron golem for 20 seconds.

 

Enchanting - Basic forced enchanting for a timelimit on items?

Telekinesis - Air abilities if holding an item.

Holy arts, light spells. Shoot skulter bullet.

 

Druidism - Bonemeal walk, summon wolf companion for 20 seconds.

Necromancy - Summon zombie for 20 seconds, death walk - turns things around them into tainted land (changing blocks).

 

Shade magic - Dust particles which inflict AOE damage. 

Frostwitch - same as water evocation just all ice spells.

Mystism - Stuff with slime blocks. Summon Vex

 

for 20 seconds.

 

Elementalism - All evocation spells.

Just giving basic spells to people which, yes will require balance but have basic spells set for people but nothing too advanced or whats not already in the game. 

 

If the idea works, then optimize it to specialize in focused magic groups. Otherwise scrap the idea.

Updates on the new map? Has constriction began? Ideas underway? can we get an idea of theme or size?

1. Are we ever going to see a return of some kind of a story to the overarching map? Akin to things we have in the past or something new? If so why has it taken so long to come about. (Please don't say the recent purge fest that the ET and LM have been doing. I would hope they would have started something like this closer to the start of the map)

 

2.  In terms of development for the current map will we see any? I know there has been talk of a 'event continent' or something of the like but I've also heard that they're might already be development for the next map but with that being any where from 3 to 5 months from now I was hoping we'd see more things in Axios.

 

3. Whats up with professions? We still get a free 75k exp when we make a new persona and while it's nice to be an instant vet in a profession along side the changes to make angelic pretty much the cap for any gains I'm not really seeing where the profession system is going? Is it on the out? Bigger and better changes? Are we just semi scrapping it? Is the development team working on some super big revamp? Etc etc.

 

4. Before Ever left they had made a post about a new title system and how regions and plots were being managed etc I was wondering if those changes they had specified in that post had actual gone into place.

 

5. With the most recent 'plant your flag' post I was wondering if something similar to the magic list would be implemented to clearly show the ownership of plots and the like.

 

6. Recently or maybe not so recently new rules keep popping up like the noticed for evicting members on a region to gather there things one which region owners need to give them 3 days to do so. I knew there had always been something similar for Region Owners if they were being removed but this new rule seemed to show up somewhat randomly (It may have been posted somewhere and I'm just being silly that's a complete possibility but I couldn't find it personally)  I was wondering if a clear post or something could be made when changes like that happened because It's not always easy to notice a new rule. I'm not sure if there's any other rules that have popped up or if that's the only one but I think we can all agree being notified of a rule change is very important. 

 

7. Finally I've heard a lot of conflicting stories about how the Snow Elves got the C5 tile none of which make a lot of sense to me. From they filed a secret land charter which is fair for groups like frost witches for a small area but is that allowed for a whole tile purchase? I only ask this because the only charter for them is for a C2 tile plot but to my knowledge that was Warclaimed. So really I'm just trying to understand how they went from a plot in the C2 tile to a whole tile in C5 by being warclaimed?
