This War Has Just Begun

As the people of House Tosali come back to the now battleground of the Rothswood, they see the cost of the warfare.The smell of rotting and burning corpses combined with the screams of wounded men littered throughout the battleground. The many homes which served as the gate to a point of prosperity for the family and it's people, had been burnt to the ground. The tower they once called home came crumbling upon itself in the most horrid of fashions, a relic of the weapons of war used by the Courlandic forces. The cobbled roads that lined the manor were now a huge hole littered with corpses. The sight of carrion forming hills and the charred bodies clumped inside the homes startled anyone who comes in to see it. The cheers were hearty and the feasts too, but the lingering presence of the dead deterred many of the remaining soldiers from celebrating further. The only untouched structure was Brisengamen Hall, which had served as the proudest of the Tosali's buildings. The carnage and ruin proved one thing to the men as they overlooked the lands of Dunarsund:
"War is costly, but freedom cannot be valued unless one is willing to sacrifice all."
