ScreamingDingo 20568 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Small, written notes would be scattered throughout the Grove of Bertha. Nothing significant, but it seems to detail advice for the druids. Propaganda? A codex? It is all left up to the reader to decide what it means. It could be ignored or it could be considered, neverless, they do not continue and are not constant. " Druidism and its true Freedom Free thought and exploration is something that is not discovered or explored in the current structure of the drui’ hierarchy. They are solely focused upon their own interpretations, the Mother Circle persecutes all that explore other trains of thought and interpretation of the Aspects. The Aspects themselves are beings that have given free will for their gifts. There is no ‘strict’ doctrine, there are no guidelines as of the other godsmen. There are no codes of honor like Tahariae’s word, no active destruction sought by Xan’s kin and no chances of redemption as the Ascended search for. Though, the idea of druidism is confined to a very, small portion of their students. Small breaches and breaks in the standard thought of druid practice is normally met with hostility. Those who do not condone the writings of March Ash, but embrace the knowledge of the Mother Circle grow truly ignorant. Druidism should not be defined by words, defined by knowledge and codes. It’s power should be within the user themselves, not as a collective. For all are an individual that has been blessed with the gifts of the Mother and Father. All do not need to follow strictly the doctrines of the other, or even the Naelurir. Druids are a free people, our gifts do not seek for certain moral codes or caring for descendants. They do not tell us to fornicate wildly with each other, yet they do not also ask us for chastity They do not tell us to murder, but they explicitly do not talk about the preservation of life. The flexibility of the druid’s code is the largest gift one may realise. Their ability and contribution to the world as a whole can be varied, some seek to eradicate the excess growth caused by other drui’, others rectify the mistakes of man. Yet, the druids are held in the regard of being part of some strict, cult-like system. You cannot stray from the rules and guidelines set up by the ‘heads’ of these associations, if you hunt against man, repercussions explode upon you. If you hunt undeath, the same burden befalls those who do as such. Now, try to explore the idea of breaking the mould of druidism, to fracture this structure that has been set up and to own your interpretation and style of druidism. For those who wish to hunt, to be able to hunt. Those who wish to grow and nurture, can do as such. For those who wish to twist druidism from its original, healthy state to a weapon of death, can do so if they wish. If druidism is wanted to be used as a bastion against all that is unnatural. It can be done as so. Do not reject the teachings of March Ash, or the knowledge of your own. There is one rule that cannot be broken as a druid, perhaps the Aspects do know of the true horrors that the void encompasses. Do not, practice magic other than druidism. For druidism is more than a ‘power’, it is a blessing which shall define your actions, but not steer them into the pacifism of the Mother or the absolute brutality of the Father. It is their choice, and their choice alone. Are you ready to explore yourselves druids, to break the moulds and not be held by the chains of conformity. To be free, to explore more than what books and mankind has told you is right. But to truly immerse yourself within nature, to tear the walls that protect you from the wilds. To destroy the knowledge one was taught, for a meditation of renewal. To become one with the Aspects, you must know of your true self. Once that is found, then the reconstruction of yourself can begin. You are not the same person before you were blessed, drui’. You are anew, a blank canvas that must be painted by yourself, and only yourself. - The Jackal, The False Druid "

Genetic_Mutant 89 Share Posted June 13, 2017 45 minutes ago, GrimReaper98 said: Druidism and its true Freedom Aerolun would have been walking through the various groves idly until he couldn't help but notice this little bit upon Druidism. The young magician couldn't help but examine closer. "Druidism and it's true freedom, huh?" The 'aheral glared at the essay for a moment, not having been a Druid but having read more than a few books on Druidic culture within the Eternal Library. "This is a scam." The magi uttered to himself. "There is only freedom in Voidal magic, for Deific and Dark magic, both alike in concept yet polar opposites in morals and effect, one share a great common factor; they both shackle you to a cause." He grunted. "Druids praise the aspects and give their lives for nature, are they then truly free? Or brought to uphold morals and ethics birthed from illogic and stigma." The magi gritted his teeth and walked off. Aerolun later returned to the essay, going to gloss over it one more time and realizing his little hatred of Druids clouded his own logic. "So they're finally acknowledging how they're controlled? Eitherway, their deity still binds them. Pfft." The 'aheral then walked off with a bittersweet feeling about the literature. ThatGuy_777 220 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Guyden would be simply passing through before stumbling upon one such note, his face forming a frown "Hm... while I welcome freedom and ingenuity, one must really take a step back to observe both the underlying and interconnecting factors." He mutters under his breath, dipping his head "Interpreting the will of the wilds as seen fit can spontaneously snowball into the abuse of nature- one way or the other. Only through the continued upkeep of a mutual balance can we uphold the cycle's virtues." He raises his head and lets out a weak sigh, moving forward once again. Gallic 1066 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Oliver, a comfy old man, had been walking among the barely-paved streets of Bertha's back to spend some good ol' quality time with his long-alienated friends and family, to relive old times and good memories- Until a freshly penned flier fluttered down upon him from a mysterious author! Curious and in a good mood, he gave it a look-over. Initially the well-spoken words and peaceful conjecture were confusing to him, eyes hoppin' between what was scribed and the one who signed it-- Yes, he checked who wrote it first. Then he actually read it. Word after word, his mind was taken further back through everything that was done, to and by him, every day he struggled to just do his own thing, all the name calling and -- All the missives he wrote just like this! How he used to care this much... Why suddenly, he wasn't in a very good mood at all! Why is he in the Grove? There's nothing but bad memories here. With wistful sorrow and a downright spoiled mood, he left!

Jakraes 51 Share Posted June 13, 2017 Rhova'dir scratches his beard as he carefully reads one of such papers "I agree with him, although, I think we need still need rules or some of the Druids will wander around the lands and kill everything they see... But hey! It's their choice, not mine." He'd say, finally walking away after he finished reading.

senor_tortuga 692 Share Posted June 13, 2017 ((Mission impossible music plays in the background)) In the wee hours of the night a man would sneak around the grove, he would be wearing naught but a loincloth and a woven pack. The man would tear down a poster and tip toe right off big bertha into the waters below, his mission having been successful. The man would later read the parchment and find a great deal of catch-all, sounds good everyone should be a free druid P R O P O G A N D A, though he would find the writings to have a tinge of truth within the scrawls of the more than likely insane man.
