Edict of Harian Inclusion

Issued and confirmed by His August Majesty, Emperor John V. Frederick Philip Horen

 

Our desert-born brothers, the Qalasheen, have seen the light of the rising Empire. They wish to rejoin with their Horenite brethren, and we will see that they do. I extend to them the all the rights of an imperial protectorate:

 

-That they be guarded against all foreign enemies

-That their citizens be protected and bound by imperial law

-That their Sultan be recognized as just and rightful ruler of the Harian state

-That they retain the rights of an Elector Prince in the Imperium Sextus

-That they retain the rights to their own cultural practices and religion.

 

To retain these protections, the Sultanate of Haria is expected to meet the following conditions as a sworn state under the Imperial Crown:

 

-That they contribute at least twenty centuries of men to the defense of the empire in times of war.

-That their Steward conduct at least one public entertainment every Saint’s Week

-That the History and Culture of their Protectorate be chronicled for the imperial public
