[!] Upon every noticeboard in every settlement and town, a large poster on nicely written parchment would hang. Crowds of people buzzing around to read what it said. [!]

Spoiler

((For those using phones:))

To the people of Axios

The massacre upon the city of Malin came to a shock to all, from the simple commoner to the leader of a holy order. To those unaware, Gazadriael, the Aengul of New Beginnings, has been reformed and has brought forth a legion of Justicars to slaughter the mortals. I have seen the deaths, being nearly killed by one of these beings myself, and I still remember the slaughtering before my very eyes.

Yet to whom should we blame for the occurrence of this event? The Holy Orders for their part? The mortal men and women who supported Asmodyne? The fighters of different nations who took part in leading the fragment known as Mesmodyne to the other? We all held a part in this event, and we all hold some responsibility in the return.

Yet no mortal is to blame.

Now we stand in danger of being slaughtered by the hands of Gazadriael and his allies.. The Aenguls I saw were those calling for our destruction. Gazadriael and his allies will spread over the realm, eradicating the mortals to bring forth a new beginning. A beginning without us. A world where we, the mortals, are no more. They see us as useless and unneeded and thus seek to destroy us.

Yet we cannot allow that to happen. Gazadriael cannot and will not decide when we will end and fall. That is our own fate to decide! Therefore...

On this day, I call out to the nations, to those in the furthest parts of Axios. To the humans, the dwarves, the elves, the orcs, and those of different forms. To the beggars and the nobles. The joyful and the damned. The holy and the dark.

Lower your weapons against each other and band together, turn the weapons and magic you wield towards the Aengul known as Gazadriael and his Justicars. Acknowledge that mistakes have been made and that now is the time to fix the damage that has been caused. Let us show to Gazadriael the might and willpower of the mortals, and why he should not interfere with our world.

We were all deceived, whenever we be of light, grey, and dark. It was the Aengul Gazadriael who fooled us. He who made us the shameful and guilty. It is he who has forced us to turn our blades against each other while he bears the blood of those on his hands, for it was he who allowed the Justicars to enter our realm. Gazadriael is the true foe of us mortals, not the Ascended or any other.

The light of Tahariae. The Mists of Xan. The Flames of Aeriel. They stand against the tyranny of Gazadriael and they wish to aid. Not all Aengudaemons desire us to fall. We must put aside our differences and views of the other for this moment. No more aiming your blades to the holy because they serve an Aengul, because they were there. No more fighting the other as we MUST focus on the true threat.

Else we will only make ourselves appear more as fools by not tackling the major issue together and standing idle. Many realms fell because we did not take action to quell the destruction.

We must unite and fight Gazadriael’s forces, else Axios will fall.

Leyunia sighed heavily, wiping her face. "If you hadn't have been naive, we wouldn't be in this position...daft clerics." She'd say, before moving off.

(oh hey, first.)

"They will have to gain their trust back. A mistake made from...such...incredibly poor decision making, is going to have a lasting impact. I do think we will come through regardless, some of us atleast", she set her cup down then sighed"It's endless, some things change, but in the end we are all stuck within the creator's perfect design"

"Who cares about if we are naive or not, good woman. Now is not the time to dwell on the past and complain," the cleric  leader would respond, walking by. "Yes we were naive but at least we actually want to fix what we brought onto everyone. We want to correct the errors that was brought forth. Unless of course, you want us to sit back and do nothing as many are slaughtered. Either we fight or we let everything fall, and I am set on the first choice."

"While no mortal is to blame, the Ascended are immortal." Says a dumb stupid traveller locked away in a mindplane of the lame. Oy vey.

"Remember when Gazardiael tricked the Druids into enabling his servants to kill droves of people in Vailor? The Holy League vowed to kill them for it." Whispers the disembodied voice of Oliver's ghost to some sleeping Holy League guy somewhere. "That's right; Nobody remembers. History will repeat itself. Be calm, right your mistake."

"Nobody forced you to do anything! You've done it on your own accord!" A man would yell out quite staunchly to whoever would pin the message to the board. "And don't you dare drag the Xannites into this!"

A fanatic glances over to his  fellow brother-in-religion. He nods before taking a clove of garlic, and biting into it - the liquid spraying over his exposed gums and teeth on his left. "You know. I always felt the Ascended and Clerics were HEATHENS at heart. That's what happens; those unnatural regenerators are going to get their just desserts." What remained of his lips curl into a frown, the torn flesh on his left marring the motion. "I'll enjoy burning these monsters at the stake."

"The sheer hubris, arrogance and self-righteousness of these so called 'holy' individuals has finally caught up with them. They will bow before the races of this world which they have once again endangered through their idiocy. It would not surprise me if these malcontents had purposefully done this, as to prove their apparent importance."

The grand knight states to his compatriots, seemingly not keen at all on the perpetrators.

"From the first day... I knew something was wrong when this was all mentioned..." The elf standing idly looks at his holster sword with the narrow vision his eye lids offer him. "Welp what happens happens, time to kill Gazardial's servants.... Again..." he lets out a weak sigh.

"Considering one of our own was murdered today protecting a group of mortals from a supernatural force, I do not think our Order has ever, nor ever will, want the death of any innocent mortal being. Mesmodyne came to us, a fragment who embodied all of Gazardiael's better traits, the fragment who wanted to change the way Gazardiael was percieved and protect us from the aenguldaemons who sought to bring us harm. We could not have known that even after the most recent reformation of Gazardiael, Asmodyne's personality would overpower Mesmodyne's own traits, despite the latter winnning the duel within Malin's old city. The nations of Axios could have disregarded Mesmodyne's request for aid in the siege of the city, but they did not. The Ascended are not solely to blame, for it was not only the Ascended who assisted in clearing the way for the two fragments to duel and reform." Victoria Vientos would sigh, having tea with Leyunia and discussing research-y things.

"I once called you ally Sister, but even you ignored my warnings. There is no one to blame but the ones that damned us all. Ascended stood there as if higher than anyone else. That the warnings that this would happened tossed to the wind. You blindly followed. Why would anyone stand behind those that don't even listen and even betray the very people they were  suppose to protect? Now the ones that actually were smart enough to not aid this abomination of an Aengul has to clean up your mistakes. Let that forever burn within all your hearts for what you have so foolishly done. Of all those lives lost, because it's very clear lessons of the past don't even sink into your minds and perhaps next time, listen to those that truly care for the descendants of this realm and spoke the truth of what was truly going on."

The loud man takes a moment to smile at his comrade. "Firstly Vailor's Iblees cultists. Afterwards Aeriel's Ascended. For they both sought to bring about the end of life as we knew it. They only ever learn about their magic, in their sheltered keep; No combat. Well, if they like their fire so much..." The fellow would raise his fist to his heart, nodding to himself and the other, both. "If Holy Inquisition taught me anything is how to light a pyre brightly enough to last until morning. More than any Ascended could last upon it."

"Elvira. You and the Ascended have information I require to properly formulate a working plan of action against the Ego you revived; Gazardiael. I am no descendant, nor am I living or dead. I am a being classed as a Voidal Horror, I read between the lines of this narrative written out by Mesmodyne and sought to eradicate both fragments with the help of those who rallied, namely a loud Orc which continued to shout commands to take down Mesmodyne & Asmodyne. I will not call you and your yolk fools for what you did, you are not beings capable of thinking too far ahead. If you so truly wish to begin your fight against this Ego known as Gazardiael, seek me out and deliver all information pertaining to the finding of Mesmodyne to the present. Do not give me the freedom to seek you lot out myself. - Y'Golekraj, Seeker from the Void."

A response is penned and given to a courier to deliver it to Elvira so long as she is not underground!

Victoria Vientos would overhear the man's ramblings on her way home, "Comparing us to followers of the greatest known evil in our known history is preposterous! We have never had any intent, nor wish, to do anything besides ensure the safety of the descendant races. When Mesmodyne first came to us, we worked for months to locate the pillars that Asmodyne was so desperate to destroy and consume power from, to ensure that he did not harm them. These pillars are what hold the Isles of Axios in this mortal realm, their destruction intended to bring about the end of all of us. We sought to aid Mesmodyne in his quest to defeat his wicked brother-fragment, by having him repair several of these pillars so that they might stand a better chance against Asmodyne's power."

"Those who do not know us, do not listen to these people, who have grown bitter and enraged at us over these hundreds of years for being the 'white knight'. That is not our goal. Come, see what we do and see that we're not these wicked creatures these men and women make us out to be. We have families, emotions, and hopes for the betterment of mortal kind. Gazardiael and his minions will perish, and we will fight alongside whomever wishes to accomplish the same. Not as white knights, but as men and women, defending our land."
